Story
Our sweet Herbie came to us as a kitten & seemed like your normal playful little guy. After our other kitty passed, we began noticing him running into & falling off things. We eventually realized he has very limited vision. He can see shadows in good lighting but still frequently runs into things at full speed. With three young kids & a busy household, things are often moved around or left out, which causes him stress & confusion and sometimes leads to accidents. We love him dearly but feel he deserves a calmer, more predictable environment. Herbie is very sweet once he trusts you but extremely skittish with strangers and will hide when people visit. He does okay with calm dogs but may struggle with one that barks frequently. Ideally, he would be an only pet. He needs a patient, understanding owner experienced with visually impaired cats. We are asking an adoption fee to ensure he goes to someone committed to him. If it doesn't work out for any reason, we will ALWAYS take him back!!

Story
Lego is a male, he was born March 28th, 2026, he has been wormed, he is litterbox trained, He has never been outside, so he needs to be an inside cat. He is very chill, of course he loves to play and run but he will just flop and lay all sprawled out in the floor, couch or bed. He loves to be held and petted and if he thinks you aren't giving him the attention he wants, he will jump and bounce off your leg if you are standing or give you little love bites to get your attention. He knows the word no and knows not to jump on the counters. He is shy around strangers but once he gets to know you he is a lover! He is going to be a large cat, he has very long legs, that is why we call him Lego. lol His momma was a stray that came to my house every day to eat, I realized she was pregnant so I took her in, I am going to keep her but unfortunately, I cannot keep the kids, so I am searching for a forever home. I would love to keep him, as I have grown very attached to him, unfortunately I can't.

Story
She was born on March 28th, she has been wormed, she is litterbox trained, she has never been outside, so she needs to be an inside cat. She loves to be petted but loves her alone time too. She loves to play with anything that catches her eye. She has a little cloth toy fish that she carries around in her mouth, she loves to chase and wrestling with her litter mates. She is a sweet girl! Her color is more of the 1st picture she is a light smokey gray with darker stripes, that is why we call her Smokey. She is shy around strangers and initially wants to hide but she is fine when she feels safe again. Her mother was a stray, she came to my house every day to eat, I realized she was pregnant so I took her in, I am going to keep her momma, but I cannot keep the kids, so I am searching for a forever home.

Story
Lucky’s story starts with being left behind. 💙 Lucky and his littermates were put outside and abandoned when their previous owner moved away. Neighbors at the apartment complex kept an eye on them and tried to find help, but before a rescue could step in, Lucky suffered a serious injury to his leg. His finder and guardian angel rushed him to the veterinarian, where we learned that euthanasia was being considered because of the expected cost of treatment. Thistle Cat stepped in. Lucky’s leg was severely swollen, and X-rays revealed a small round object near what appeared to be a puncture wound. During exploratory surgery, the object was removed. It was a pellet. Lucky had been shot. We splinted his leg and started pain medication, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, and routine laser therapy, hoping desperately that his leg would heal and an amputation could be avoided. For weeks, we treated and rewrapped his leg. Unfortunately, it did not improve. Lucky initially still had sensation in his paw, but eventually that sensation disappeared. At that point, amputation became the kindest option. And now? Lucky is quite possibly the cutest little tripod you will ever meet. 🐾 He has an incredibly unique little meow, a huge personality, and absolutely no idea that he is missing a leg. Lucky is a wild man who loves racing around and playing with the other Thistle Cat kittens. Lucky must be adopted into a home with another playful cat or dog or he can be adopted alongside another Thistle Cat. Tripod cats can live long, happy, active lives with remarkable mobility. However, Lucky must be an indoor cat or have only secure, supervised outdoor access, because having three legs can make it harder to escape predators and other dangers. If you’re looking for a hilarious, playful, resilient little guy with three legs, one very special voice, and enough personality for four cats, Lucky might be your boy. And you may want to hurry. These tripods have a funny way of stealing hearts and being adopted much faster than four legged cat friends. 💙🐱
