Story
Zuko likes to talk. If you are behind a door, he will paw at it and let you know you forgot him on the other side. He is the cuddliest cat I've ever met, insisting you craddle him like a baby or that he at least be held in your arms against your chest, sometimes with his face in yours. If you're looking for a cat that will be with you all night between your legs, Zuko is the ideal.Despite being a cuddler, he is also very active and loves playing with his toys. He is quick and will chew the string to break them off their leash if left alone with them. If bored, he may start attacking his brother to wrestle or even bat at one of our dogs.Zuko doesn't have any serious health issues or special needs other than he is very anxious when going to the vet and often clings to me. The MOST important note: he is bonded to his brother and MUST be adopted with him. I will NOT separate them. His brother's name is Iroh. Both cats have beds, blankets, food, toys, and a stroller they can come with.

Story
Iroh is an intelligent, bold, adventurous cat. He is around 15lbs and quite long legged, so he takes up lots of space when sleeping around our legs at night. He likes to talk when he wants something, and is happy to play with toys or chase his brother around and wrestle. He is a sweetheart, making biscuits on his cat beds and our bed at night. He isn't as much of a cuddler as his brother, but will be on your chest if he does want to cuddle. He really seems to prefer masculine energy but is friendlt towards all people. He and his brother live with 2 dogs and Iroh regularly asks to play.Iroh has tummy troubles, so he has vet prescribed food. He has some other particular needs we can discuss if interested. The MOST important note is this: he is bonded to his brother and MUST be adopted with him. I will NOT separate them. His name is Zuko. Both cats CAN come with beds, blankets, toys, a cat stroller, whatever remaining food we have, a cat tree, and litter boxes.

Story
First off I really don’t want to give up my cats. I love them so much and they have been my rock since 2019. Unfortunately I got myself into a financial situation where I had to move from MN to stay with family in KY. And where I’m staying the person who runs the house will not allow my cats to stay and I have no means of going anywhere else. The black cat is male and his name is Calypso, the brown cat is female she is Nebula. They are good cats, they tend to hide at first with new people but after a little while when they warm up they are very sweet. They are big nappers, and they love to play and chase toys. Calypso is about 7 or so, and nebula is around 5. They both still have their claws. I only want them to go to someone who will be patient and loving, and that is an animal lover.

Story
Please welcome Channing back to NBARR. After almost 3 years in his adoptive home, he has found his way back to us. The family wanted a multi cat household after having Channing for a few months they decided to adopt another FIV kitty, Channing got along great with the cat but that cat started spraying out of dominance and so did Channing, the family had to return that cat to the rescue it was adopted from. They tried bringing in other cats and similar experiences happened. After the last cat they brought in started peeing in clothes baskets, they sent her back to the rescue she was adopted from, however Channing continued to mark his territory. We took him to the vet the day we got him back to rule out any form of blockages or UTI and he has a clean bill of health. He was just not happy with new cats coming into his home. He has been doing great with us, he uses the litterbox consistently and has not attempted to spray or pee anywhere inappropriately. Our house has 6 resident cats, a husky and a guinea pig. Channing gets along with all of them and we think he would be fine going into a home with an existing cat or dog that is not confrontational, however Channing's ideal home is somewhere he can be the center of attention and get all of the love (and belly rubs). He is the best boy and deserves to have a forever family. 2022 Meet Channing! This boy is a sweetheart despite all he has been through. He was originally surrendered to a shelter after his owner died, he had obviously been a trap and release kitty based on his ear tip. He was pulled by a local rescue and after multiple attempts to treat an issue he was having with his ear, nothing was working and he was just getting worse so the vet recommended euthanasia. That is when NBARR stepped in and took him to our vet and they determined he had a nasty ear infection due to a large polyp in his ear, it was removed same day and he is just as sweet as before but with less of a head tilt now. After healing from the ear polyp surgery, Channing still had a watery eye so after consulting back with the vet, she determined he also needed a little plastic surgery due to entropion of his eye. Once that was corrected, everything has been great with him. Channing is also FIV+ (which is an immune deficiency virus) It is not curable however FIV+ kitties can live a complete normal life. Unlike with feline leukemia, FIV kitties can live with non positive cats. The virus is typically only spread by cat bites. Channing is very tolerant of other animals. Channing is great with kids and loves attention, he is very vocal and will talk to you quite a bit. He has met a couple of our resident cats and doesn't mind them as long as they do not pester him. I think he would be fine in a home with a cat or cats that are not dominate. Channing being almost 16lbs is a big boy and based on his scars and the fact he is FIV+ means he has probably been in a few fights but he is not the type of cat that goes looking for fights. What is FIV: Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is one of the most common and consequential infectious diseases of cats around the world. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections. Although cats infected with FIV may appear normal for years, they eventually suffer from immune deficiency, which allows normally harmless bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and fungi found in the everyday environment to potentially cause severe illnesses. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans. Risk & Transmission: The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds from an infected cat. Casual, non-aggressive contact, such as sharing water bowls or mutual grooming, does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections. Only on rare occasions, an infected mother cat may transmit the infection to her kittens. However, if the mother becomes infected with FIV during her pregnancy, the transmission risk to the kittens is increased. Sexual contact is not a significant means of spreading FIV among cats. Nani is looking for her forever home! She's taking applications for a calm, adult only home where she can relax and play at her own pace. She loves being pet on and hates loud noises. She’s just looking for someone to sit with and get all the love. She has a neurological issue that causes her to have a bit of a head tilt but she otherwise functions and cats just fine.
