🐾 Meet Ira: Your Future Feline Companion! 🐾 Introducing Ira, a truly special kitty with a heart full of love and a personality that shines! This stunning tortie girl is all about attention and affection—she adores being around her humans and would be thrilled to spend her days lounging in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. Ira has an inspiring backstory; she was rescued after bravely giving birth to five kittens in a ditch during the sweltering summer. She was a fantastic mom, but once her little ones grew up, she was ready for a life focused solely on her. Now, Ira is looking for her forever home where she can be the center of your world! Here’s a little more about Ira: Age: 2 years (plus) Personality: Very affectionate, enjoys human companionship, and can be quite the diva! Home Requirements: Needs to be the only cat in the household—she's not a fan of other felines. She is okay with dogs, though! Habits: Great litter box manners and doesn’t require any special diet. Health: Fully vetted, tested, spayed, and microchipped. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with love and make your home feel extra special, Ira is the kitty for you! If you think you could be a good match, please reach out to us to learn more about how to bring this lovey-dovey diva into your life. 🐱❤️

Story
Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Story
Sweet Chai was orphaned at a very young age and came to the safety of the Humane Society when being 'given away for free' on Facebook. Animals should never be subjected to being given away free, they are living breathing souls who have great value. As part of Chai's adoption fee will be the neutering and the micro chip all Humane Society foster animals receive. PLEASE NOTE that Chai and his foster mates all had such a ROUGH start to their lives, coming to SPCHS after being taken from their mamas way way too soon. He, Smudge and Monte all will need to be on special GASTROINTESTINAL BIOME food until they are at least 9 months old an perhaps longer. This is not optional!
