Story

Mika is almost 7 months. The pound said Mika was originally surrendered because he was one of many cats. When he was adopted from ABQ shelter he was neutered. When it was within the 30 day adoption period, he was returned due to an unknown illness. As it turns out he needed surgery because he had eaten plastic. He recovered well and began to gain weight, he’s currently around 4-5 lbs. We were able to get him back from the shelter. He likes Children, but will only tolerate it for awhile. He had to be socialized with 2 cats, and has learned to be civil with cats. He does like to play rough with other cats, but will stop after awhile. But he does tend to nip people and hiss at cats. He had to be taught to groom himself by other cats, and has low motivation to groom himself. He likes women & doesn’t prefer kids although he’ll let kids carry him for a while. He’s being given up due to another cat we have and for small children being in household who make Mika stressed. He is litter trained.
