Story
My name is Whinnie and I am one of six kittens raised in a PAWS-OK Foster home.  Our mom, Wendy, was pregnant when she was rescued by a lovely couple.  I am probably the shyest of all of us, but then again it's hard to get seen with so much action going on by my siblings.  I would prefer a quieter home with lots of attention and a lap or two to make me feel safe. PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   March 13, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
Meet Kenny!  I am a tough guy and a timid guy both rolled into one cat.  I am the result of my mom getting out of the house through a window and the neighborhood toms taking advantage.  She was a purebred and as a result, she was surrendered to PAWS when her owner confirmed she was pregnant (with half breeds).  I am very warry of new people and have a tendency to hide when anyone is looking for me.  I will get along with other cats as long as they don't let me boss them around (I am a rather stout guy).  I love to eat and look forward to having a home of my own with people who will care for me forever! Story
Hi, my name is PeeWee because I was the smallest survivor of a litter of 5 born in a PAWS-OK foster home.  My mom was a Siberian and when she got out of her owners home for a few nights and got pregnant. They didn't want the "mixed" kittens(?).  Their loss because I am a gorgeous "mini Maine CoonX cat.  I don't like a lot of change (see my stink eye ^^^) am shy of new people, and don't like to be held and cuddled but I'm not agressive.  I'd like a quiet home where I can relax, get groomed (my hair is a chore for me) and learn to accept people touching me more. May 19, 2026, 5:53 pm

Story
Cowboy is my name and being beautiful is my game! My 2 brothers and I were born into a colony in a NW OKC neighborhood that a nice lady was feeding.  Unfortunately she wasn't spaying or neutering and the colony was getting out of control. She came to a PAWS-OK fundraiser and told her story or our director who agreed to take the youngest at that time (us 3) if she would work on S/N for the rest.  I am a beautiful boy with a loud purr but shy about approaching new people. May 19, 2026, 5:53 pm

Story
My name is Clarabelle.  My sister, Daisy, and I were adopted as kittens in 2020 to a wonderful woman who loved us dearly.  However she died of cancer last December.  We were by her side to the very end.  Her husband, who never rally liked us all that much (we preferred his wife) found us to a burden and asked PAWS-OK to come and get us and find us new homes.  When PAWS got to our house they found us to be considerably larger than expected (we ate very good there!) and a bit harder to corral than usual but finally got us into carriers and off to our foster home where they put us on diet food.  We have been "dieting" since early January 2025!
