Story
Hello I`m Ella, a beautiful tuxedo kitty. I can be picky about other pets, but I love my people. My favorite activities are lounging on a cat tree and eating a fancy meal. I would do best in a home without young children under 12 years of age, as I play a bit rough and enjoy a more mature, calm environment. I am a bit of an escape artist - I will wait at the door ready to dart, so watch your feet well! I just want to explore and live a full, enriched life. I would love a house with a catio!

Story
Shirley is a sweet, outgoing girl with bright eyes and an irresistible curiosity to life. With her energetic nature, she is unbothered by the noise and activity of family life.  She is entertaining to watch as she `stalks` and carries around her favorite toy mice and tries to hide them from her brother. Shirley also enjoys zipping in and out of their tunnel until she is exhausted and finds a cozy spot to lounge. She loves soaking up the sun in the windowsill, and the evenings are when she is most likely to seek out attention/pets from her human companions. Do you have the perfect home for Shirley?

Story
Mark is a gentle, handsome boy with long, shiny hair and a loud purrer. He can be a bit shy at first with new adults or dogs, but he warms up quickly, and he loves attention.  He has an affinity for school-aged children. Mark loves to cuddle, bury himself in blankets, and be combed. He`s mostly laid-back except when he and his sister, Shirley, get the zoomies and race around in circles together. Do you have the perfect home for Mark?

Story
Meet Gravy! This handsome little guy was raised as a bottle baby, so he’s extra affectionate and absolutely adores people. Gravy is a snuggler through and through — he’ll happily curl up on your lap after a good play session. When he’s not chasing toys or zooming around the room, you’ll find him looking for love and attention from his favorite humans.Gravy is brave and curious around other animals, but like any kitten, he’ll do best with slow, gentle introductions to new furry friends. He’s also a total foodie — he loves his snacks and has always been a great eater! If you’re looking for a kitten who’s playful, loving, and ready to be your best buddy, Gravy is your guy.

Story
My name is Velvet because of my beautiful shiny coat!  My sister, Venus, and I were surrendered to PAWS-OK with 3 other cats by a cat-loving couple who were being threatened with eviction because there were "too many cats". Honestly we five and five others (that PAWS-OK helped get spayed and neutered, is a bit much for a small 1 bedroom apartment!  I brought a surprise with me to my foster mom - RINGWORM!  All five of us had to be treated with some good tasting medicine and now I am so pretty, all my beautiful fur has grown back.  I am known as the 'social butterfly" of my group and love people and cats too.  A home with another friendly cat or two would suit me just fine! PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   July 10, 2025, 5:16 pm

Story
Winnie is a super affectionate dark grey tabby female with a load of love to give.  She loves to rub on her human and just about anything else around.  She was adopted from PAWS back in 2019 and was returned by her owner in April when he could no longer care for her.  She also came back to PAWS'OK with her cat roomie, Tessa, in tow.  She is a talker and likes to tell you hare opinion on everything - especially if dinner is late!
