Story
This guy is almost 2 years old. Originally a friend found him by the road, and next thing I know I'm stuck with him. He is the biggest cuddle bug and loves to play. He will get in the way of you trying to tie your shoes. He's always in the same room, no matter what. No special care or needs, minus him being extremely docile and scared of almost everything. He jumps at every sudden movement or sound, even just the slightest splash of water. Nothing aggressive, just jumps or runs away. He will most likely hide at first, but he warms up quickly. Huge goofball. Knows how to use the litter box, and will use it. Will eat almost anything you put in front of him. Don't leave unattended plates around him. Been too busy with work to give him the attention he needs. And I have a big move around the corner, and won't be able to take him with.

Story
This guy is about 4 years old. Had him since we was just a few months. He's got a bit of an attitude, and generally doesn't like being around a lot of people/animals. He knows to use the litter box, but it generally just seems to be how he's feeling that day. He has a sensitive stomach, the only food I've been able to get him to eat and keep down has been the IAMS Sensitive Digestion (pink bag). He is otherwise very playful and is a HUGE cuddle bug if he likes you. He might have a loud mouth and a tough exterior but he's really just a sweetheart. Looking to rehome as I've been working a lot more and haven't been able to spend as much time with him as he probably needs, as he has been a lot more anxious because of it. Which means more accidents and stress, and it just isn't fair on him. And on top of that I have a potential move coming up in a few months, and again, just unnecessary stress on the poor guy. I will say, he will require a lot of patience. It is worth it.

Story
Duvall is a 12-pound bundle of gray goofiness with a face that always looks just a little surprised, like he walked into the room and forgot why he came in—but decided to love you anyway. Duvall is the kind of cat who believes personal space is optional. If you sit down, he’s in your lap. If you bend over, he’s head-butting your chin. If you’re trying to work, he’s supervising from the keyboard with intense, slightly cross-eyed devotion. He doesn’t just want attention—he needs it, and he returns it tenfold with purrs, slow blinks, and enthusiastic cuddle sessions. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.

Hi there! I’m Stranger 🖤 Don’t let the name fool you — I won’t be a stranger for long! I’m a 2-year-old sleek black gentleman on the lookout for my forever home, and I’m ready to charm my way right into your heart. I’m a friendly, social guy who loves people of all ages. Whether you’re tall, small, or somewhere in between, I’m happy to be your new best buddy. I enjoy staying close to my favorite humans — think loyal sidekick energy. If you’re on the couch, I’ll be nearby. If you’re moving around the house, I’ll be supervising. Toys? Yes, please! I’ve never met one I didn’t like. Feather wands, jingly balls, crinkly things — sign me up. Here’s the scoop on me: 🐾 Great with people of all ages 🐱 Enjoy the company of other cats 🐶 Do well with big dogs (haven’t met small ones yet) ✅ Litter box trained and tidy 🚫 Not a fan of being held (I prefer keeping all four paws on the ground) I may not want to be carried around, but I more than make up for it with my sweet, gentle nature and affectionate personality. I’ll happily keep you company and be your shadow — just without the lifting part! If you’re looking for a wonderful, playful, and loyal feline friend, I may just be your perfect match. Come meet me in person — I promise I’ll make you forget all about my mysterious name! 🖤🐾

Story
Hi friends! I’m Dani 🐾 I’m an 11-month-old handsome Tabby gentleman currently hanging out at Heartland, patiently waiting for my forever family to find me. I promise I’m worth the wait! I’m a friendly boy, though I can be a little shy when meeting new people. Think of me as the “mysterious, quiet type” at first. But give me a little time and — boom! — I’ll be your best friend. Once I know you’re my person, I warm up quickly and absolutely love attention. Here’s what you should know about me: 💛 I enjoy people of all ages 🤗 I love being held (yes, I’m a snuggle candidate!) 🐱 I can co-exist with another feline buddy 🐶 I can be selective about dog friends ✅ I’m litter box trained — neat and tidy is my style When I’m not charming visitors, you can find me playing with my toys or lounging in a sunny window, soaking up the rays like the distinguished gentleman I am. If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly shy boy who will blossom into a loving companion, I might be your perfect match. Come meet me in person — I can’t wait to make your acquaintance! 💕
