Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Triss has been with us for about 3 years we found her in the country. She does not have front claws. She is very much a scaredy cat. She takes along time to warm up to people. She is full of attitude and personality. She doesnt bite but sometimes she hisses or swaps you with her paw. She very much loves affection but only on her terms. She is very good with my kids but again - she takes forever to warm up to new people - we have a dog- she does not like the dog at all. My kids love her. And she loves them. But my new baby is allergic to her. We have kept her on one level of the house and the baby on a different but as the baby grows it is getting a lot harder to keep him from her. I want her to go to a good home as this is very hard for us.

Story
This guy is almost 2 years old. Originally a friend found him by the road, and next thing I know I'm stuck with him. He is the biggest cuddle bug and loves to play. He will get in the way of you trying to tie your shoes. He's always in the same room, no matter what. No special care or needs, minus him being extremely docile and scared of almost everything. He jumps at every sudden movement or sound, even just the slightest splash of water. Nothing aggressive, just jumps or runs away. He will most likely hide at first, but he warms up quickly. Huge goofball. Knows how to use the litter box, and will use it. Will eat almost anything you put in front of him. Don't leave unattended plates around him. Been too busy with work to give him the attention he needs. And I have a big move around the corner, and won't be able to take him with.

Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained,
Story
This guy is about 4 years old. Had him since we was just a few months. He's got a bit of an attitude, and generally doesn't like being around a lot of people/animals. He knows to use the litter box, but it generally just seems to be how he's feeling that day. He has a sensitive stomach, the only food I've been able to get him to eat and keep down has been the IAMS Sensitive Digestion (pink bag). He is otherwise very playful and is a HUGE cuddle bug if he likes you. He might have a loud mouth and a tough exterior but he's really just a sweetheart. Looking to rehome as I've been working a lot more and haven't been able to spend as much time with him as he probably needs, as he has been a lot more anxious because of it. Which means more accidents and stress, and it just isn't fair on him. And on top of that I have a potential move coming up in a few months, and again, just unnecessary stress on the poor guy. I will say, he will require a lot of patience. It is worth it.

Good with kids,
Story
Duvall is a 12-pound bundle of gray goofiness with a face that always looks just a little surprised, like he walked into the room and forgot why he came in—but decided to love you anyway. Duvall is the kind of cat who believes personal space is optional. If you sit down, he’s in your lap. If you bend over, he’s head-butting your chin. If you’re trying to work, he’s supervising from the keyboard with intense, slightly cross-eyed devotion. He doesn’t just want attention—he needs it, and he returns it tenfold with purrs, slow blinks, and enthusiastic cuddle sessions. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
