Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. This lovely girl with the soulful eyes is named Bernadette. She's a 4 year old Catahoula mix weighing 50 pounds; all 50 of which are filled with love. She is terrific with other dogs, kids and cats. Bernadette is an old fashioned looking girl with the spotted coat of a Catahoula blended with the flavor of perhaps a bit of hound. She loves people and yearns for her own home. With you? Story
Meet Waylon! Waylon is a 7-year-old gentleman with a heart as big as his smile! We believe he’s a mix of German Shepherd, Catahoula, and Beagle — and he seems to have inherited the best traits from all three. This happy-go-lucky boy has an endlessly wagging tail and a gentle, friendly personality. He’s well-mannered in the house, fully housebroken, and crate trained. Waylon gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for just about any family. He’s currently working on polishing up his obedience skills and doing great! Waylon is a bit overweight at the moment (around 65 lbs) and is on a healthy diet plan — his ideal weight is closer to 55 lbs, so he’ll appreciate some gentle walks and portion control in his new home. Waylon is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a joyful spirit, Waylon is your guy!October 9, 2025, 10:16 pm

Story
Fonzie is a fun-loving, toy-obsessed dinosaur in a dog’s body who absolutely loves people but has zero interest in sharing the spotlight with other animals. He’s got a vocal range that could rival a T-Rex, making a funny squawk when he’s excited. When he’s not making noise, you’ll find him happily splashing around in his water bucket, living his best life. He may have some manners to work on to slide into civilization, but with his charm and energy, he’s guaranteed to keep you on your toes!  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Oct 2021 ~  Intake weight:  80#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlAugust 24, 2025, 9:30 pm
