When we rescued 2-4 year-old Jones, he was emaciated from being a stray without much food to sustain him. HeâÂÂs now about 50-55 pounds and may gain even more. Jones, a Catahoula mix, wears a coat with typical Catahoula markings . He has a sweet personality; heâÂÂs dog friendly and calm. He loves to go for walks and is always glad to see you come his way. Although his first years may have been tough, thereâÂÂs only sweetness in his eyes now. What a fine fella he is! This lovely girl with the soulful eyes is named Bernadette. SheâÂÂs a 4 year old Catahoula mix weighing 50 pounds; all 50 of which are filled with love. She is terrific with other dogs, kids and cats. Bernadette is an old fashioned looking girl with the spotted coat of a Catahoula blended with the flavor of perhaps a bit of hound. Her red and white smooth coat has some merle markings and her eyes are blue and brown, which is a color pattern of a catahoula. Darcy weighs 25 pounds and she is a beautiful girl. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm and flea preventives. Darcy is friendly, playful and does well with other dogs. I do not know how she is with cats and will ere on the side of caution and say no cats or to at least use caution when introducing her to cats. Darcy is ready for her forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure.
