Story
Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlMay 27, 2024, 12:26 am

Story
Mack is a big handsome 4 year old Catahoula mix!  He is as sweet and loving possible but he is big, 105 lbs BIG! Mack is extremely loyal and becomes attached to the people he interacts with often. He strives when given a routine with expectations for him to follow. Mack has had training from 2 separate places and knows basic commands such as, sit, down, place, and come all with an implied stay. He is completely house broken and crate trained, once he knows the home he is able to be left out of the crate even when home alone. Mack gets along with other dogs and loves to go to daycare to play. He does great on a leash. Mack is very energetic and requires regular training, playtime, and exercise. He loves mental stimulating games and activities such as lick mats and snuffle mats. Mack can be a bit mischievous when given the opportunity. Though he is energetic, Mack will never pass up the opportunity to snuggle up with anyone and loves to take naps. Mack LOVES car rides and going anywhere with you, especially the drive thru! He was originally found running down the highway years ago when he first came to the rescue. He was adopted by a wonderful couple that loved him dearly but after the birth of their newborn have had to make the heart wrenching decision to bring him back. While he is good with older kids (5 and older) he did not do well with the newborn, even with extensive training. They also ran his DNA and we have all of his ancestry info! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, on heartworm prevention, and is microchipped! His adoption fee is $250.May 22, 2024, 8:43 pm

Story
Meet our Catahoula mix babies of between 3 and 4 months.  All girls, they make a fine litter of happy and energetic puppies.  They love to play with each other as well as other dogs, kids, and even their foster’s cat.  These girls all wear short coats, but of different colors.  Sofia is gray with white; Sema is tan with white; Shalene is white with black (and a bit of tan) and Sadie is brown with white.  Some bear Catahoula markings while others’ faces are enchantingly wrinkled in Sharpei fashion.  Between 20 and 25 puppy pounds, they will each mature to about 60. What a delight these baby girls are!  (posted 2/3/24, TN)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 26, 2024, 10:36 pm
