Story
Dawn is learning in her foster home that rescued life is the good life! Like many timid dogs, she does well with other self-assured pups who can show her the ropes. This sweetheart just asks for patience and understanding as she learns to adapt to new people and places. If you're someone who can praise her successes and give lots of couch cuddling sessions, she'd love to hear from you. Dawn is certainly worth it! Est. birthdate is 5/18/2023, vaccinted, spayed and microchipped. Adoption fee $300.00

Story
Meet Atlas. While his DNA is very rich in dog breeds (18 actually), his appearance is quite unique, with two breeds as the main standouts. His face and ear structure look mostly Pitbull, but his "glass eyes", height, thick body (about 65 lbs), and mottled coat are distinct characteristics of his distant Catahoula Leopard dog relatives. Atlas loves a good cuddle and is the best hugger. Although he can be a little stand-offish around strangers at first, he warms up quickly to people of all ages. He does well with children and with other dogs that do not have as dominant of a personality as his own. He loves hikes, exploring, runs/walks, chasing balls and frisbees, playing tug, and chewing on toys. He will dig from boredom if he is left alone outside for long periods of time without sufficient engagement. He knows a few commands but usually prefers to perform for treats. Atlas is an affectionate, active dog that needs an equally loving and active family to meet his emotional and physical needs.   If you would like to make this amazing guy part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Atlas is located in Alabama and available for transport. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlMay 8, 2024, 2:06 pm

Story
Meet Dolly, the delightful and loving companion you've been searching for! Dolly is a gem who is crate trained, and house trained, making her a true blessing for any family. At night, she enjoys the flexibility of either sleeping with you or in her crate with the door open - she decides based on her mood! Dolly's interests include chew sticks, pig ears, chew toys, and soaking up the sun while sunbathing. She's a real doll - energetic, playful, and would likely thrive with a playmate of similar size. When you're ready to relax on the sofa after a long day, Dolly is ready to keep you company. This sweet girl is an inside/outside dog but truly longs to be indoors with her family; she's not suited to being a full-time yard dog. Dolly is incredibly loyal, protective, and still building her confidence. Dolly would flourish in an active family or with a couple who can provide her with the love and attention. With her sweet nature and endearing qualities, Dolly is sure to be a wonderful addition to a loving home. Don't miss the chance to welcome this special girl into your life - she's waiting to bring joy and companionship to her forever family! $300 adoption fee covers spay, vaccines, parasite prevention and microchip. Email littlestarchis@gmail.com for an application.
