Story
Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $400.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transportation to San Diego,Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Erik is a sweet boy who likes to cuddle! He is moderately active and happy to chill on his dog bed after his morning and afternoon walk. He is not aggressive - in fact, he is a shy boy and would benefit from dog training. He is about 10 months old.

Story
I'm currently stationed in Hawaii with frequent deployments out of the country. The family that I originally had my dog with can no longer look after him. I've had Keyser since he was 8 weeks old. I love my dog dearly, and since I can't have him here with me at this point in my career due to military service with these deployments and our operation tempo. I would much rather him go to a loving family that will be able to give him the affection, love and attention that he needs and deserves. Believe me, if I could find someone who was willing to watch him for the last year of my orders over here in the form of friends or family he would already be there. I'm kinda solo now so this whole situation sucks considering that it was rather last minute and unexpected. But I'm trying to do what's right by Keyser so that he is taken care of first and foremost.

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing and you need to contact the North County Shelter to meet this dog. ARRF is not familiar with her. Well-mannered, patient Lua, the Catahoula mix, has had enough of living at the San Diego County Animal Shelter in Carlsbad- she is ready for her furever home now! Besides her gorgeous appearance — she has a striking white coat with brindle markings and elegant long legs — this beauty is gentle; she walks well on leash, doesn't jump, and takes treats with a very soft mouth. She has been so well-mannered with other shelter dogs that the staff recently used her as the "go-to" dog to evaluate the "dog-friendliness" of other dogs. Quite an honor! Lua is five years old and currently weighs 72 lbs. Lua likes people — she is attentive to her handler and knows (and obeys) basic commands like "sit." She is also quite the athlete — she has good energy and loves running around the shelter's play yards off-leash, chasing balls or toys, or playing with her handler. And true to her Southern California lifestyle, she jumps right in if she is near a swimming pool! After her walk, this good girl trots right back to her kennel, curls up on her cot, and patiently waits for her evening "happy hour" treat- a peanut butter Kong- to be delivered. As she nods off to sleep, she dreams about having a home of her own. You can meet Lua at the San Diego County Animal Shelter, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011. The shelter is open to view animals from 10 am-4 pm Tues-Sat and by appointment by calling 619 767-2675. Be sure to mention Lua's ID number, which is A1849200.

Story
How this pet arrived: Molly was brought in by their previous owner on March 18, 2023.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Molly! Molly is a gorgeous gal who is ready and waiting to meet her new family! Molly didn't expect to be house hunting at her age, but here she is, making the best of it! Molly can be a bit shy, and does best slowly warming up to her people. Molly does have a history of guarding her food from other pets, and may do best as an only dog. All she's really looking for is a nice, calm home that'll spoil her and let her just be her and vibe. Molly has spent time in a foster home and her foster says she is so easy, sweet and mellow. She only jumps up on the sofa if she is invited and once she joins you she will happily snooze away next to you. She is housetrained and has even mastered a doggy door in her foster home. She enjoys car rides and the breeze on her face from an open window. If you think Molly is the one for you, reach out to us today! Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: Black Weight: 92 Age: 12yrs 2mths 2wks
