Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Meet Sabor, our lovely liver leopard dog. Her start with us was a sad and heartbreaking one. She and her family had been raised and cared for by a veteran on a rural property with no electricity or running water. When his health and mental welfare led to intervention from authorities he agreed he could not care for them and they reached out to us for help containing her, her dad and 3 6month old siblings. It was clear when we arrived they had been loved and were equally in love with their caretaker but knew nothing of anything more than the lot and tow trailer where they were raised. Faced with shelter processing and euthanasia we took them on. Despite her rough start and limited exposure Sabor has spent the last several months learning the ropes of a companion dog and is now ready to be a public citizen. At adoption events she thrives with human interaction and sees life as an adventure to be explored. She loves the company of people, self entertains and will entertain you for hours. Toy tossing, leash chasing, chair lounging, you name it life's a game. True to her breed, she is loving, loyal, smart, athletic and strong willed. Her eagerness for life and love is demonstrated by the tail that never stops wagging. She is still learning so needs someone with patience and a willingness to grow with her. We adopted Camden after losing our baby late into our first pregnancy. We did this to pour our love into a creature that needed us. He is such a loving dog, he is smart, loyal and protective. It’s his protective nature that we are now struggling with. We became pregnant again and this time around brought twins into our world. This has created an insecure/protective nature that we can’t tame. Thankfully it’s protective of the babies and of my wife. However this makes it hard when we have guest over or are out with the boys and Camden. Camden belongs with active individuals who hike, run, and have a backyard that he can enjoy. He needs a home where he can receive attention, affection and also have an outlet. We unfortunately cannot provide this. He is a wonderful family dog, just needs a better fit.
