Story
How this pet arrived: Rox was brought in by their previous owner on June 9, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Rox, the sweetest little pup with big dreams of finding a new home! Playful and fun-loving, Rox is full of excitement about the world around her (until naptime, of course). She has boundless curiosity and is ready to share her love with a new family. If you're ready for puppy kisses, wiggly zoomies, and a lifetime of love, grab a leash and collar and come adopt Rox today! Rox has a congenital abnormality of her eyes and is blind as a result. She is also suspected to be deaf. Rox will need a patient, loving family committed to helping her learn her surroundings and build confidence. Blind puppies can thrive with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement, and Rox will benefit from a home that uses gentle guidance, keeps furniture and pathways consistent, and helps her safely navigate her environment. With time, training, and lots of love, Rox has all the potential to grow into a happy, confident companion. Primary Color: White Weight: 25.8 Age: 0yrs 4mths 3wks

Story
Linda came to us when she was very little - unfortunately the foster family decided to keep her and her siblings, and ended up being a horder :( now we are rescuing Linda and her brothers back again. Linda and brothers have been enclosed in a dark room for almost all their first months of life. She will need patience to open up to be the beautiful girl she is. Linda and brothers were basically raised by the children of this family - the children didn't go to school hardly and they will be with the responsible people in taking care of them. Although Linda and brothers were giving so much love by the kids; they were never socialized until now. She is very smart and loving. She can get along with other dogs, with proper introduction; we can provide photos with other dogs. She has this beautiful shining coat with gorgeous chocolate color like a Chocolate Labrador; with that special tones of the Catahoula dog breed. She is an ideal medium size. She will be a great addition to any family with children as they love kids. We will provide $100 credit towards training with Petco. All our rescues are spayed/neutered and have been up to date on their core vaccinations of Distemper and Parvo - dewormed, as well as you will receive a free health check up with a participating vet clinic. If interested please complete an application at AngelsForDogsAndCatsRescue.org or at AAOFUS.org If you want to follow up on your application, please text us at 619-576-0747 as we are not taking any phone calls at the moment just texts 24/7 Thank you for helping rescued pets and for helping us to keep saving lives by adopting from us. Story
Meet Kira! She's a Catahoula Husky mix and is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met. She's around 5 years old and around 65 pounds. She's super sweet and affectionate and loves every human she meets. She's also great with dogs but can sometimes be selective. She's crate and potty trained and walks great on a leash. She's the quintessential couch potato who loves to snuggle and just has the best energy.

Story
Indio was around the shelter for two years, neglected by his former owners, we decided to give him a space in the shelter when he started playing among the cars on the road. In the midst of danger we were able to get him to safety, and he currently has his full vaccination schedule, microchipped and neutered, ready for his new home. He is a very faithful, intelligent, calm and very sociable dog. He was raised with other dogs and cats, so he makes him a good companion for any family, he likes to go for a walk on a leash, cuddles, receive prizes and learns very quickly. He is an affectionate companion, ideal for a family with children and cats, who wants to give him the love he deserves. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Sabor Our stunning liver leopard beauty with a heart just as striking as her coat.  Sabor’s story began in heartbreak—but it’s quickly becoming one of resilience and hope. She and her family were raised by a veteran living on a rural property without electricity or running water. When his health declined, he made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender his beloved dogs, knowing the risks they faced. That’s when A Way Home For Dogs stepped in—keeping a promise to bring them to safety. What we found was a family full of love, deeply bonded to their person, but unfamiliar with the world beyond their small space. And Sabor? She’s taken that second chance and run with it. Perks Social butterfly—loves people and thrives on attention  Tail always wagging—pure joy in motion  Playtime pro—keeps herself entertained and always ready for fun  Smart & athletic—quick learner with tons of potential  Loyal to her core—bonds deeply with her person  Confident & curious—embracing new experiences like a champ  A little Catahoula sass—she knows what she want Needs  Strong-willed—will thrive with structure and consistency Still learning the ropes—continued training will set her up for success Best as a single-dog home—she wants to be your one-and-only Ideal Home Sabor would do best in an active, engaged home that can match her energy and continue building her confidence. She’d love a person (or family) who enjoys adventure, playtime, and mental stimulation—but also appreciates a loyal companion who gives her whole heart. A home ready to provide structure, guidance, and love will truly help her shine. If you’re looking for a dog who will make every day brighter, fuller, and a whole lot more fun… Sabor is your girl.  ##2194449##

Story
Blue Moon is a lovely, smart, sweet, and affectionate 5 ½ month old girl who looks like a miniature Australian Shepherd/ Cattle Dog blend. She has amazing eyes – one blue and the other light brown, but most interesting is the fact that she seems to have a “speckled eye,” which makes me think that she could be part Catahoula Leopard Dog! If you don’t know anything about Catahoulas, look them up: They are truly special dogs -- very rare and striking. And mini-Aussie Shepherds are a real favorite among dog lovers! Blue Moon weighs a bit less than 18 pounds and will likely be about 25 pounds full grown. Blue is beautiful with her ginger freckles and amazing eyes. She is extremely affectionate, attentive, loving, and gentle. She’s truly as sweet as the day is long, and she’s wonderful with other dogs, with children, and with kitties. Blue’s been around a two-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, so she’s delightful with small children. There isn’t an aggressive bone in her body; she’s a sweet mellow tolerant pup. She’s a playful and amusing little doll face. Blue is a very smart girl! She learns commands very quickly and easily, and she’s attentive and loving. She is not a barker or a wanderer. She won’t annoy your neighbors or dig in your yard! She’s well-behaved, friendly, housebroken, gentle, and tolerant. Blue bonds beautifully, and since she’s so affectionate and loving, she’ll make a wonderful family buddy. Blue has even been around farm animals, and she’s the only dog whom I have ever fostered who will just sit on a horse’s back and go along for the ride! What a doll she is! Of course, Blue Moon’s adoption donation covers her spay and all of her shots including her DA2PPv, Bordatella, and Rabies. I have her medical records to pass on to her new forever home. She’s a happy, healthy, playful pupper! I am a firm believer in having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. We always take our rascals back if it isn’t a good fit. To meet this beautiful puppy and the rest of my foster pups (and maybe even have a sleepover), pls email findabestbuddy@gmail.com or call 858-602-2061 • findabestbuddy@gmail.com • (858) 602-2061
