Lexi is an awesome dog! She is super friendly, and loyal, bonding quickly to her people. She loves to play a game of fetch, and looks to her people to learn, play, engage and have FUN! Lexi does well with her commands such as sit, lay down, take it and drop it. Because she is a high energy dog she would do best in an active household who have experience with large dogs (she weighs ~55+lbs). She is quite food motivated, so having treats on you would be great, she also loves to learn. SHe is a great hiking, jogging or running partner! Lexi resides with a playmate at our Sanctuary and they come out to go on runs with the side-by-side buggy, she LOVES IT! And there is nothing better than a romp at the creek or at least a dip in the trough/pool! Lexi is a playgirl and a tomboy, she loves affection, playing with people and dogs, loves toys, and being an important part of her people's lives! Lexii loves being the center of attention, and so may be easiest as an only dog in the home, but for dog savvy folks, who engage in training and creating boundaries where needed she can co-house. She is currently taking a break at the Milo Sanctuary and living with three other dogs - happily! She has a beautiful golden, brindle coat and is a nice size, lean and athletic, perfect for wide open spaces and running. ADOPTION FEE: $550

Meet Sweet Holly! She has beautiful crystal blue eyes and is just the sweetest girl! She is shy at first but once she warms up to you she is funny, snuggly and just wants to be around her people. Holly would do best in a home with older kids (loud noises and sudden movements scare her) and one with another resident dog to help her continue to come out of her shell. She has been doing fantastic with my dogs and with my older kids. She is potty trained, walks well on leash, knows some commands and loves her crate. Pepe has been thriving in a loving foster home, here's what his foster family had to say about his stay with them: Pepe has been so much fun to have with us. He is sweet and clever and eager to learn. He is a very good boy in a household with kids. He is gentle and sweet with our 9 and 11 year-olds. He loves to sit on their laps and he loves to sleep with the kids. He is completely house trained and stays inside without need for a potty break all night. He is very quiet, not a barker at all. He likes to chew, so you will need plenty of chews and toys for him. Pepe knows to 'sit', 'stay' or 'wait', 'come' and 'drop-it'. He is very sweet-natured and he wants to please his people more than anything else. Pepe likes to be with people or other dogs. He is very playful with our dogs and he even played nicely with our neighbor's small dog. He loves walking and walks well on leash. We have not had the chance to take him off leash but he is a quick learner and I am sure he would learn how to run or hike along with you on the trails. Nalani is a gentle loving survivor! 9+ year old Catahoula mix, who has lived with us for a year. We adopted her from the Berkeley Humane Society, where she was transferred from Hawaii after a long time in the shelter system. We are really sad that we need to find her a new home. She is great with people, children of all ages, and even puts up with our two cats. She is less predictable around other dogs. Unfortunately she has arthritis and some bladder issues. She knows to go outside, but has a hard time holding it. Our family is not able to give her the care that she needs due to our long work hours, and as the architecture of our home is proving difficult for her arthritis and bladder issues (our floors are slippery and the entry to our yard is complex). She would do great in a home where she can go outside easily and often. She is incredibly sweet, and very smart. She is clearly a survivor. We want to find someone who appreciates her gentleness and can offer her what she needs.

Weight: I weigh approximately 75 pounds. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 01, 2023. Rumble is a friendly, colorful, energetic, bouncy, year and half old thats still very much a puppy. He weighs 58 pounds. He would benefit from training and manners work as he likes to jump up for attention when walking on leash. He was bouncy and playful when meeting another dog. we feel due to his jumpy behavior he would best with children ages 15 and up. We would recommend he go into a home with no cats. He'd love to meet you!! Rumble was recently in foster care and his foster said: He is house broken, rides well in the car, loves people, is attentive, loves rope toys and chew toys.
