The difference in adopting a puppy vs an adult or juvenile dog is, the older they are, the more of their true personality shows. Sunny was adopted as a tiny puppy, and all in all it was not the best match so he came back to the shelter, a much larger 8 month old catahoula and shepherd mix, probably 55-60 lbs . Sunny is a good boy but can be anxious and needs an experienced dog owner to be his leader, firm and fair. Sunny previously did well living with another dog but kids were a bit challenging, so ideally older children, also dog savvy. From my brief time with him during photos he was highly food motivated, gentle taking treats , good on leash and happy to get attention. Just looking at him, you can see he’s special. But he needs someone equally special that has the knowledge and determination to make Sunny the best dog ever and make him shine like the sun. I am a loving and affectionate senior gal with impeccable manners. I love to cuddle and I'm a really good walking partner. I'm a calm girl who would love to join you on your daily walks. As an older gal, my playing days are a bit behind me so I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, or with a mellow dog like myself. I can't wait to give you all of my love! My foster family thinks I'm swell! Here's how I'm doing: We have absolutely loved having Remi in our home. She is the sweetest most happy gal that never fails to find your face to shower with kisses. She loves her long walks just as much as she loves a chill movie night, she has lots of spots to curl up but finds the small dog bed the comfiest, despite the large one beside it. Don’t let her age fool you, Remi is full of energy and play time, she loves fetch but make sure you have two balls because she is still learning to drop :) She especially loves old soccer balls over tennis, but as long as you're playing with her she will love it. Remi will squeeze her way into any heart and hopefully your home!Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
