This animal is part of our Name Your Price adoption promotion, meaning you get to choose the adoption fee that feels right for you! And there’s even more: adopters will receive a post-adoption training reimbursement plus six months of heartworm and flea & tick prevention to help get their new best friend off to a great start.Say hello to Riley! At 11 years old, Riley is proof that age is just a number! This sweet girl came into our care after a change in her family’s living situation meant they could no longer keep her. Riley was a beloved member of her family, and while she may be starting a new chapter, she hasn’t lost any of her loving personality. Riley is an absolute sweetheart who loves her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. She’s happiest when she’s getting attention, receiving some good scratches, or simply hanging out by your side. And if you happen to sit down? Be prepared—Riley firmly believes she is a lap dog and will happily climb right up for some cuddle time! She has such a gentle, affectionate nature and is sure to make someone a wonderful companion and on the plus side, she is potty trained! Riley is considered a Special Needs Adoption because of her previous history with a benign mass on her rectum. The mass was surgically removed, and the removal is expected to be curative. However, due to her history, she should be monitored for any new masses or signs of recurrence. Riley has previously been introduced to cats and has shown a strong interest in chasing them, so she would be happiest in a home with no cats! Riley has so much love left to give and is ready to find the person who will let her spend her golden years being exactly what she loves most—a spoiled, cuddly lap dog surrounded by her people. Riley would love to be your one and only pet or would do well with another senior dog that has a similar energy level. Story
Hey there, I'm Bugster! I ended up here in the shelter due to my curiosity. You see, I had this thing for chasing squirrels. One day, I followed a particularly sassy one and ended up lost! Oops! I spent a night in a tree, a day in a bakery (don't ask), and eventually, a kind lady brought me here. I've learned my lesson, promise! No more squirrel-chasing... well, maybe just a little. Adopt me, and I promise to bring joy, laughter, and just a smidgen of squirrel-related mischief into your life!

Story
Meet LEFTY, a 10-month-old Catahoula mix who is equal parts stunning, sweet, and HIGH ENERGY! First, just look at those eyes! Lefty has heterochromia, with one beautiful brown eye and one bright blue eye, paired with a striking reddish coat. At around 32 pounds, he’s a medium-sized pup with a whole lot of personality packed into him!Lefty is a happy, goofy guy who is incredibly sweet and loves getting pets and attention—but then, in true puppy fashion, he can switch gears and be bouncing off the walls the next moment! This boy has energy to spare, so he’s looking for an active home that will keep his body and mind busy. Hiking, exploring, playing, training, and adventures would all be right up his alley!Lefty does well with other dogs and would love having a canine companion to play with. He’s a wonderful, fun-loving puppy who is ready to find someone who will appreciate his silly personality and give him the active lifestyle he needs. As with any puppy, Lefty will need continued work with housetraining, socialization, manners, and obedience training. Puppies are a lot of work, but they’re also a lot of fun—and Lefty has so much potential to grow into an amazing adventure buddy! If you’re looking for a happy, goofy, energetic pup to keep you company on hikes and adventures, Lefty might be your guy!
