Pepper is the sweetest and most loving dog. Everyone who gets to know her falls in love. We are heartbroken to have to rehome her after having her for over 4 years and are eager to find a loving home for her. She loves being outside, snuggling with people or pillows, getting belly rubs, and almost any food. She can be anxious around noises, strangers, and other dogs when on leash. However, she has made a ton of progress in her time with us and we feel like she would really thrive with someone with experience with reactive dogs. We believe in exclusively positive reinforcement training and are hoping to find a home for her that will continue the same. We have a ton of toys and supplies that we would be happy to pass along as well as all her vet records and any other information that would be helpful. We don't know her exact age, but she is somewhere around 5-6.

Meet Ziggy! This stunning 1½-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighs about 49 pounds, and with his incredible markings and bright, expressive eyes, he’s quite the handsome guy! Ziggy is a smart, athletic boy who loves getting out and moving around, but he may surprise you with how easily he settles once he’s had a chance to stretch his legs. He did great getting some exercise and then settling down to work on basic commands. He’s very food motivated and eager to learn, which makes training fun! Ziggy can be shy and a little wary of strangers at first, but he warms up quickly once he gets to know you. He may flinch or cower with fast movements, so a patient home that will let him build confidence at his own pace would be ideal. Once he feels comfortable, his funny, playful personality really starts to shine. He has been known to growl when he is very uncomfortable and really needs a family who can help him build his confidence and help him feel safe.He does well with other dogs and would love having a canine friend around. In fact, Ziggy doesn’t particularly love being home alone, so a home with another dog or someone who doesn’t work long hours would be a great fit for him. He is not good with cats.Ziggy is still a young, energetic working-breed mix who will need regular exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of opportunities to use his busy brain. A securely fenced yard is required so he has a safe place to run, play, and explore. Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately
