Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Tuesday is brought to you by the letter "A"... for Athena! Athena may be a little shy at first, but once she gets comfortable she turns into one big ball of cuteness. She's a Halloween baby , but there's absolutely nothing spooky about this girl! Athena is a 32 lb Pyrenees Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with the coolest coat and beautiful dark features. And her tail? Definitely my favorite part--she hasn't quite grown into it yet and it's adorable. She's a great eater, does well with kids and other dogs, and is learning to walk on a leash like a champ. Her only "flaw" so far? She drinks water like I imagine Beethoven would on the hottest day of summer. If that's the worst thing about her, she's doing pretty great! Athena will be ready to gallop (have you seen those legs?!) to her forever home on March 16th right in time to celebrate St. Paddy's Day If you think she could be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application at http://Tinyurl.com/ammradoptapp or email Ammrjoyha@gmail.com with any questions! Copays vary by location. $110 reimbursement if adopters' own vet/clinic is used within same timeframe for alter and microchip. All Mutts Matter Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. *** Breed determination in most cases is often based on the limited history typically available for most rescued animals. We try to be as accurate as possible with the information we have and the rescue assessment of the pup. Current Adoptions are within 3 hours of our foster homes, most within the SJ area - within NJ/PA/DEApril 13, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Volt is being fostered in NC. Volt has some vision. update Volt is doing well! He lives for cuddles at night before going to bed in his crate. During the day he has one speed and that is lightning fast. His favorite treat is carrots and he will do anything for them but lay down, lol. He has a pretty good recall and knows sit. He is fully potty trained and goes to the back door when he needs to go out. He plays so gently with his foster mom's mini aussies and rough and tumble with Elektra (corso) and Trigger (lab). Volt had some grand mal seizures that were caused by Simparica Trio. These lasted about 3 weeks with lingering focal seizures. He is still on keppra and he's doing great! He has not had any seizures in the last 3 months. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately

Story
Wrangler is being fostered in PA. Wrangler has some limited vision. Haroo, my foster Mommy said I had to give an update on me. I am now 11 months old! She has been helping me deal with something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. Man, thems big words. I will just call it what foster Mommy says, EPI. It means that that pancre-something thing inside me doesn’t give me enzymes so I can digest proteins. So foster Mommy puts enzymes in my food to help me with that. Also, Mr Vet Dr said because of this EPI thing, my B12 level in my blood is low, so foster Mommy gives me a shot every other week of B12. I am a good boy for those and don’t even feel them, as long as I hold still. Other than that, I am still learning various commands. I tell foster Mommy when I need to go out. I sleep all night with foster Mommy. I love playing with other dogs and cuddling with humans. I can sometimes get scared when I don’t know someone, but will warm up to them especially if they have treats. I am okay with older children. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Harmony is a beautiful young Catahoula mix with the cutest tiny ears and a beautiful merle coat. She is the perfect medium size at under 40 pounds. This girl is full of life, love, and fun. She’s always ready for the next adventure — whether that’s zooming around the yard, playing with a dog friend, or joining her people for an active day out. She loves to cuddle by your side after playtime. Harmony would thrive with an active family who can keep up with her playful spirit and give her plenty of exercise and engagement. A fenced yard is a must for this girl so she can safely run, stretch her legs, and burn off that happy puppy energy. She’d absolutely love another dog in the home to romp, and play with. Because she can be a bit bouncy and enthusiastic, Harmony would do best with children ten and up. If you’re looking for a stunning, loyal companion who will fill your days with fun, Harmony is ready to make beautiful music with her forever family!
