Story
I'm Jethro, a striking 7-year-old black and blue merle Catahoula Leopard Dog with a heart full of adventure! 🐕 At 71 pounds, I'm a solid, energetic guy who's neutered and heartworm-negative—ready to hit the ground running with the right person. I'd do best as your one and only pup (I'm selective with other dogs), and cats aren't really my thing, but I'm smart, friendly, and always up for fun. If you're looking for an active companion who'll keep life interesting, I need a fenced yard and a companion, come meet me and let's see if we're a match! 💙

Story
MEET CHAI! Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family. He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He’s playful and would love a dog buddy who actually wants to romp and play with him. He likes kids and has not yet been tested with cats.On leash, Chai can be a bit of a puller, but with consistency and positive reinforcement (especially treats!), he should improve quickly. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with brains, personality, and a big heart, Chai is your guy. Located in Houston, TX Transport available to most states for a $300 fee

Story
We adopted Finn from H.A.R.T. in Media, PA. We did a puppy basics training class through petco when he was young. Later, we joined a search and rescue group and were training to do trailing. Our jobs recently changed schedules and we can no longer dedicate as much time to him. He is a very smart, very busy dog and needs more than we can offer. We have a young child that does well with him, but we've made sure to educate our child on how to be gentle with him. He does well with our elderly dog, but can be reactive to other dogs (mostly on leash/through fence). He also tries to play with our older cat like a puppy.

Story
Weekly Gargoyle Report: Still weird. Somehow even more lovable.  Meet Gargoyle  1-year-old mixed breed Male • Neutered 45 lbs Partially blind and deaf This week’s accomplishments: Knows which door leads outside and heads right to it. Rare potty accidents (usually because his foster mom missed his schedule… he’ll tell you it wasn’t his fault ). Still perfect in his crate. Gives the sweetest kisses. Has discovered that baby talk is, in fact, the greatest thing ever. He still has two speeds: 1. Professional Couch Cuddler 2. “I’M HUNGRY OR I WANT TO PLAY RIGHT NOW!” complete with barking, jumping, and dramatic enthusiasm. His signature move is still the occasional “love nibble.” It’s his very odd way of saying, “I adore you.” We’re continuing to work on it, and he’s improved so much! Gargoyle still needs a family willing to give him time. He’s not the kind of dog who walks into a new home and instantly acts like he’s lived there forever. He needs patience, reassurance, and consistency. But once he trusts you, he turns into the funniest, sweetest, most affectionate little weirdo you’ll ever meet. A calm, neutral dog would still be a great fit. No young children. Not recommended for anyone with mobility or balance concerns—when excitement strikes, Gargoyle occasionally forgets he has brakes. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who’s equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and lovable oddball… Gargoyle is patiently waiting to meet you. And yes, he’ll probably give you a kiss within the first five minutes.  Gargoyle is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and is heart-worm negative. He’s fostered in New Bloomfield, PA. Apply today at www.pack9rescue.org or request your meet and greet if already pre-approved! LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Story
Meet Bo: Bo is a 1 and a 1/2 year old (as of April 2026) Catahoula/Pit mix that weighs 86 pounds. Bo was originally rescued from another organization, but due to unexpected personal circumstances his current owner has no choice but to rehome him and the original shelter said if they took him back he would end up on the euthanasia list. Our rescue stepped in to make sure this handsome boy could avoid that fate and find the right home for him to thrive for a long and happy life! Bo is currently being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Bo absolutely adores people — from kids to adults! He loves attention. Bo is a big, happy, high-energy boy who just needs the right home — a secure setup and someone willing to give him the structure and the love he deserves. Bo has a history of jumping the fence in his old house, his new home would need a tall fence and someone willing to work with him to know his boundaries to stay in the yard. Bo has been friendly with other dogs he’s met but prefers canine friends that are close to his size. He does have a strong prey drive, so he would not do well in a home with small pets/cats. Bo is already house trained and crate trained!   Bo is up to date on his shots and neutered. Bo is ready for his forever family - could it be you?! If you think he could be your new playmate and love bug, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Snoopy: Snoopy is about a 5.5 month old (as of July 28, 2026) Catahoula/Lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 44 pounds. He has the cutest black-and-white markings and the softest puppy eyes.  Snoopy is being fostered in the Lititz, PA area (as of May 16, 2026) and would love to meet his forever family! Snoopy is the perfect mix of playful puppy and snuggly sweetheart. He has been doing wonderfully in his new foster home, including with kids and the resident dog. He loves toys and balls, enjoys playing, and is already showing what a good boy he can be with structure, love, and consistency. Snoopy's foster family has learned a lot about Snoopy. He is learning home life quickly! He is gentle and sweet with children. He is active and loves playing with other dogs. He loves toys, bones, and cozy blankets. Snoopy redirects well with bones and toys for his puppy chewing desires! He tolerated his first bath time like a champ.  Snoopy is still young, so he will need a family ready to continue puppy training, patience, and lots of love. But he has such a soft, trusting, happy spirit already. He just wants to be near his people, play, learn, and be loved. Snoopy has been around cats and is interested in them. He will run and bark at them and then lick his new little friends. We would love for Snoopy to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Snoopy is up to date on his puppy shots and neutered. He is crate-trained and potty-trained. If you are interested in giving this little cutie a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Snoopy's Backstory: This litter of cuties (Gracey, Sadie, Brandi, Molly, Goldie, Snoopy, Dottie and Daisy) was found as strays with their mom in a rural area in Mississippi. Luckily the person who spotted them took them and dropped them at a local animal shelter. We heard about the need to get them into a rescue and were able to step up. CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Home in Lititz, PA 17543 License #17584 ##2725961##
