Gargoyle is still waiting. Gargoyle also has a partial sponsorship toward his adoption fee! There isn’t some big new update this week. No dramatic transformation. No shocking new trick. And maybe that’s okay. Because Gargoyle has become exactly who he is supposed to be: a really good boy who just happens to experience the world a little differently. He’s a 1-year-old, 50-pound mixed breed boy who is partially blind and deaf. He’s goofy. He’s anxious. He does his little circles. He plays with his toys. He loves treats, car rides, cuddles, kisses, and being near his people. And every morning, he still gets up and goes looking for his people. That’s the part that gets us. Because Gargoyle doesn’t need someone to fix him. He needs someone to choose him. Someone who will understand that a new home may be overwhelming at first. Someone who will give him time to learn the sounds, smells, routines, and safe places in his new world. Someone who will be patient when he’s nervous and celebrate when he finally curls up beside them and realizes, “Okay… these are my people.” He’s still going to run into things. He’s still capable of turning into a 50-pound wrecking ball when he gets excited, so no young children and no homes where balance or mobility could be an issue. A calm, neutral dog could be a wonderful companion for him, but Gargoyle would also be perfectly happy being your one and only. He’s not perfect. He’s not conventional. He’s not the easiest dog. But he’s Gargoyle. And he’s sweet, funny, loving, and completely deserving of someone who looks at all his quirks and says: “Yep. That’s my dog.” He’s been waiting long enough. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
