Story
Clutch and I met on 9/11 seven years ago. He was 3 months old and was an absolute stunner. I felt lucky to have such a sweet boy in my home. When he was young, he had LOTS of energy so I walked him twice a day and hide treats in plastic Topo Chico bottles to keep his mind active. He's been with me all this time and outside a few incidents involving resource guarding with other dogs, has been a great companion. Fast forward to now, my life is much different. New house, new wife, new child (3 yr old). At her age the concept of spatial awareness is something she will have to learn over time however we're concerned something could happen due to Clutch's need for space at times and tendency to resource guard his food or even his owner (me) at times. We worry about a potential accident and need to prioritize our child. We hope Clutch finds a new home with a yard, new walking paths, and a cozy bed to sleep. Everyone who's met him, says the same thing: "What a sweetheart!" You will too.

Meet Nueve! He came to us because his forever parent was an addict and passed away. He came to Austin from Houston because we were fostering him and have tried to find a home for a few months. I just learned about this website and we are doing our best to find Nueve a home before we move to the midwest, a retirement community which doesn't allow dogs. He is an American Catahoula Leopard crossed with an American Pit Bull Terrier. These dogs are bred originally in Louisiana and referred to as a Pitahoula. They are hunting and game dogs. With their altered jaw lines they are bred to be able hunt wild boar and large game. They have long legs because they are meant to retrieve water foul from swamp land. He thinks he's a lap-dog. Shhh don't tell him he's not. Game driven, watch out squirrels, highly intelligent, advanced sense of smell. Beautiful coat mix of both breeds with both spots and brindle coat. Even if you can't help Nueve, help us find him a home.
