This is Dobbie, a most handsome boy with a beautiful personality to match! Dobbie is so outgoing and friendly, he became an instant sensation with PAWS staff and volunteers. He gets along well with everyone he meets, he adores people and plays nicely with other dogs. He is affectionate towards children and has experience living with cats and dogs, traits which make him a perfect choice for families with other pets! Playtime is one of Dobbie's favorite activities, and at just 2 years old, he still has a youthful energy and the most adorable zoomies! He especially enjoys his squeaky toys, entertaining himself by tossing and chasing them around the play yards. But when playtime is over, sweet Dobbie loves nothing more than just hanging out with his people. The way he snuggles close and gives kisses will absolutely melt your heart. Handsome lively boy picked up roaming in Austin & needs a home! Neutered male ~ 3yrs old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm neg. & in great health. Pretty mellow inside (likes daytime naps) & then very energetic/playful out in the yard. LOVES fetch with tennis balls & is an impressive jumper/tree climber (Catahoula traits!). House broken, crate trained, & was happy/playful with 4 other dogs at an off-leash/fenced dog park recently (took correction from dogs well). Uninterested in the 1 cat he met, ran away into his crate when it hissed. Has learned some basic commands, sit/wait/shake, but needs a firm/consistent owner able to do leash training (was just running free so not used to it). Food motivated which is ideal for training! Strong & very active sporting/working breed so an experienced very active owner is best, would be an ideal morning jogging buddy once learns to heel on leash. He is good with our 6yo son but older/bigger kids may be better as this is a strong dog.

Through no fault of his own, Frank found himself at AAC after his owner unexpectedly moved to a home where dogs are not permitted. When we met Frank, his amazing aquamarine blue eyes immediately charmed us. Frank soon stole our hearts. Frank is sweet and laid back but also full of energy for car rides, walks, running around the backyard and tugging on his rope toy. Frank is a smart dog and appears to have a good vocabulary. His favorite word is “squirrel.” He loves watching squirrels through the window. In the yard, Frank looks in the branches of each tree to see if his friends are out. He does not bark at squirrels, just watches and waits for them to come play. Frank is a good student at school. Frank appears to be a very trainable canine. He already knows sit, down, look, wait, touch and is easily learning lots more. Frank has plenty of energy and may be a candidate for agility training. Frank enjoys car rides, especially putting his nose out the window for a good sniff. Frank loves relaxing on the couch for a football game or Dog TV.
