He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. I've had Ninja for 6 years, the shelter thinks she was 4 when I got her, so that makes her around 10. She came to me with a traumatic past. She is much better, but still timid and shy. She loves to be pet and go for walks. She is very good around other animals and mostly keeps to herself, but does play once she gets used to another animal. The born date is an estimate based on information provided when she was received at the shelter. I've had Ninja for 6 years, the shelter thinks she was 4 when I got her, so that makes her around 10. Story
Isabella, or Izzy, is about 4-5 years old. My daughter found her on the streets of San Antonio as a 9 or 10 month old puppy. Izzy is normally calm and sweet, but she does not get along with our daughter’s other dog. The two have gotten into several fights and my daughter can no longer keep her. There have been no incidences of aggression at the dog park, just at home. Izzy is also nervous around children and once bit a little boy who startled her. The best home for Izzy is one with no small children or other pets She has been evaluated by a veterinarian who found her to be well behaved. He agreed that in an stress-free home, Izzy would make a wonderful pet. Izzy also does not lick and seldom barks! She is good on a leash and in the car. You’re going to love her!
