When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. I adopted Roady from someone who had puppies in the Austin area. He just turned 2 in February and is about 90lbs. Roady is a very sweet and loving dog, he’s very loyal to his owner and always wants to be pet. He is very energetic and loves to run around in a big yard, play tug, and loves to chew on toys. I realize that I need to rehome him due to a few reasons: I moved from a house to an apartment so he no longer receives the exercise he needs, he is not very friendly with the cats in the house, and he is very dog/animal reactive. Roady will thrive in a home where someone can consistently continue the training he has had, has a yard he can run in, and with someone who has experience in handling difficult behaviors. He is up to date on all vaccines and has been neutered. He graduated a board and training program in March 2025.
