This sweet handsome boy came to Mutt Love from a NC shelter where they euthanize dogs who are in the shelter longer than days. Ranger deserved a chance at a happy life and a loving home so we made him part of the Mutt Love family. Ranger is estimated at about 2-3 years old currently weighs about 55 pounds, although he does need to put on a few pounds. Ranger is heartworm positive and is beginning treatment soon at our vet. Apollo is an almost 6 year old beagle, who will be a fantastic addition to a home ideally with no children unless they are teenagers, that is fairly calm and where there is space for him to run around outside or go on walks. He loves to chase the ball, but likes to make you work for it by only bringing it halfway back 🫣. Chewing and tug of war are his favorite indoor activities! He does tend to nip at smaller children especially when chaos ensues! He has never broken the skin, but has caused some minor small bruising before. He has been around other dogs, but never cats or other animals. He loves to snuggle up on the couch or bed, but definitely does not like to be kept separate or in a crate. He becomes very vocal, and destructive when put up by himself. When able to roam freely, or even left by himself at home when owners are out he is a perfectly well behaved pup. He deserves better than what my home can provide for him currently!
