Story

Covino is a beautiful Catahoula/Pit mix that is looking for his perfect match. This sweet and handsome man takes a bit of time to trust, but as he gets comfortable he really does love to be as close as possible to his people. A family willing to give him time, patience, and love to help him settle in would be perfect. He has has some exposure to cats & dogs previously, so if you have a canine or feline in the home please discuss with our staff about if it could be a good match. He would be required to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Covino would do best with someone experienced and comfortable helping him work on socializing with people and other animals. He is the sweetest once he is comfortable but this does take him some time. We do recommend that he goes to a home with older children or all adults as loud noises and commotion make it hard for him to settle in, but this is not a requirement at this time. Story

We have had our lovely girl Luna since she was 6 weeks old. She loves to snuggle on the sofa/bed, go on long walks, hikes, and eat all the delicious food that falls on the floor. She can be anxious when getting groomed or during thunderstorms/fireworks, but with cuddles her anxiety improves. We have loved her for 6 years, traveled with her, watched movies together, etc. However, it saddens me that we haven’t been able to give her the attention and care she needs for some time. In early 2025 I had my first baby, who we found out is allergic to dogs when he started crawling. She is a dog that needs love and attention, but because we have been trying to make sure they are separated, she truly hasn’t been able to and is very sad. We have tried many things, from getting a robot vacuum, air purifiers, medicating our son, etc. But, his allergy has only worsened. We are devastated, but she deserves a life we can no longer provide her. We hope to find someone who will love her just as we have.

Story

Maryann has not had it easy. She was adopted as a puppy, but when her dad got a new girlfriend, he decided that he couldn't be bothered with his dogs and so after a year, Maryann ended up back at the rescue. Now, she is hopeful that someone will see her sweet nature and beautiful colors and make her their newest family member. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, house trained and ready to be adopted. All she needs now is a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. She is in TN but one of our donors has sponsored her so the cost of transport to your area is included in her fee. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road, Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
