Story
We love twotwo sooo much. We need to rehome due to taking care of ailing parents out of country for an indeterminate extended stay. So far we have had her stay with friends when we travel or have someone housesitHer gotcha day was 2/22/22. She was born some time in November 2021 and we adopted her as a puppy. She is a mix of a shi tzu and cavalier. Within a few weeks in our family she was bit on her face. She healed quickly with minor dental with snagletooth smile. Since then she is super scared of other dog. She is trained. She will sit and do some commands. Her commands are “come” “sit” “sit stay” “free” “heel” for walking and “leave it”Completely house broken. She is great with people once she warms up. She can be left alone after walks and during work day without accidents Rarely ever sheds even when hair is kept long.Does get motion sick in the car. We give her otc medication when we go out roadtrips recommended by vet and works well.We hope she finds a loving homebefore moving.

Story
Didi is a King Charles Cavalier, appx 4 yrs old. He loves toys and carry with them wherever he goes and he loves to sleep with them. He weights about 18lbs, loves to eat! He does fine with other dogs and is healthy overall. He does have dry eye condition that will require lifetime eye drops and bi-annual eye specialist visits to check on his eyes. The eye meds are about $150 every two months and the eye specialist visit is about a couple of hundred dollars per visit. The eye meds are helping him overall which is great progress! He does get nervous in car rides and walking outside but these are not major issues at all. Hes loving and likes to cuddle.

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 29th from 12–3 PM (unless adopted prior to the event). All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $800 Meet Chantilly: Tiny, Sweet, and Whipped to Perfection   Chantilly may be an 8–9 week old, 6-pound Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix, but nobody has told her she’s tiny. This shelter rescue is even cuter in person— and once you meet her happy, tail-wagging, “the world is my oyster” personality, she becomes completely irresistible.   A Little Doll with a Big Personality   Chantilly starts her day around 7 a.m. with an immediate trip outside to potty. She drinks some water, grazes on kibble when the mood strikes, and then gets down to the important business of being a puppy.   Her daily agenda includes tossing toys around to entertain herself, playing fetch, chewing on her puppy-approved chew sticks, and racing through the house with her much larger husky-mix foster brother. Despite the considerable size difference, Chantilly holds her own beautifully— and will even chase him when she decides it’s time to play!   She has also spent time with a senior Pomeranian and got along wonderfully with everyone. She hasn’t yet been introduced to cats or children, but she is a cheerful, social puppy who loves people, dogs, playtime, and cuddles in equal measure.   Play Hard, Nap Adorably   Chantilly is energetic and adventurous, but she also knows how to embrace the finer things in life. Once she has worn herself out, she might curl up beside you on the couch, burrow under the covers, fall asleep underneath her donut bed instead of inside it, or pass out on her back with all four paws in the air.   She is affectionate without needing to be attached to someone every second. She’s happy to seek out cuddles when she’s ready for a nap, but she can also entertain herself with a toy or settle comfortably on her own.   A Very Good Little Houseguest   Chantilly is already doing exceptionally well with both housetraining and crate training for such a young puppy. She goes potty outside and is also familiar with potty pads, though her future family should expect to continue reinforcing her good habits as she grows.   When left home alone, she stays in a generously sized crate furnished with a bed, blanket, water, kibble, toys, and a potty pad. She settles quickly without showing signs of anxiety. When the crate is left open, she voluntarily goes inside to eat, drink, or nap—which is an excellent foundation for continued crate training.   Like any puppy her age, Chantilly is teething, but she currently directs her chewing toward chew sticks. She has experimented with a little digging in the yard but responds well to redirection. She is not generally vocal, although she may occasionally inform backyard squirrels that she is, in fact, in charge of the premises.   Chantilly has not started going on walks yet, so leash skills and the rest of her puppy education will be adventures for her forever family to enjoy with her.   The Sweetest Addition to Almost Any Family   Chantilly could thrive with a single adopter, a couple, or a family ready to provide plenty of love, playtime, socialization, training, and snuggles. She would be happy to have a playful canine sibling, but with an engaged family, she could also shine as the center of attention.   Her foster describes her simply as “perfect,” and it’s easy to understand why. Chantilly is playful, cuddly, confident, adaptable, and absolutely precious. She’s the kind of puppy who makes herself at home—and then makes it impossible to imagine your home without her.   August 27, 2026, 10:44 am

Story
This lucky girl recently landed a wonderful foster home where she has been treated like the star she is. So much so that her foster mom has been affectionately calling her Donna Summer! Here's what her foster family has to say about her "If you're looking for a fun-loving friend who will follow you from room to room, happily curl up at your feet, spend the day smiling and being your best pal, and treat her crate like her own personal studio apartment, Donna Summer may be the girl you've been looking for. Donna Summer is crate-trained and house-trained, respects furniture boundaries, and enjoys everything from a quick potty walk to a long walk around the neighborhood. She rides calmly in the car, happily hangs out with everyone at the coffee shop, and is comfortable around dogs and kids. And when the day's adventures are over, she loves nothing more than being cradled like a baby. In short, Donna Summer is an exceptionally easy dog to have around. Physically, Donna Summer is a fit little dog. We estimate that she is 7–8 years old and weighs about 14 pounds. Her teeth are in excellent condition, and they've been brushed every day since she came into foster. She appears to be part Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and has beautiful, luxurious wavy fur. We've been brushing her a couple of times a week to keep her coat free of foxtails and burrs after her outdoor adventures. One of my favorite things about Donna is how content she is to simply be with you. Most often, she'll lie at my feet after I throw her soft toys for a few minutes. If I invite her into my lap, she'll happily come up for a visit, give me a few kisses, and then either return to the floor or settle into her crate spread eagle on her back for a snooze. She is affectionate without being demanding and seems perfectly happy as long as she's near her people. Donna Summer could be a wonderful match for someone new to having a dog, someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle, or a family looking for an easygoing companion. She can happily join you for a walk, accompany you on an outing, or simply hang out at home. Most importantly, Donna Summer is ready for someone who will give her the love, stability, and commitment she deserves. In return, she will give you an exceptionally sweet, easygoing companion who is simply happy to be part of your life."

Adoption fee: $800 Meet Sprite’s Soda Pop Puppies!   Born on the Fourth of July, Sprite’s three sparkling little puppies are officially 8 weeks old and ready to pop into their forever homes!   Mama Sprite is a petite, 10-pound Poodle mix—possibly a Maltipoo—and while Dad remains a mystery, the puppies look like adorable little Cavapoos. All three have incredibly soft, fluffy coats, though their adult size and shedding level cannot be guaranteed. They have spent their entire lives in a loving foster home with their mama, two large Doodles, and a foster family who has cherished them from the moment they were born.   Like all young puppies, Slice, 7-Up, and Sierra Mist will need families prepared for potty training, teething, socialization, and all the other delightful chaos that comes with raising a baby dog. Each puppy will be adopted separately so they can grow into confident, well-adjusted individuals.   Slice: The Sweetest Slice in the Pack   Slice is the only boy, and the gentle big brother of the trio. While his sisters believe every waking moment should involve a full-contact wrestling match, Slice is more of an independent-toy-in-a-quiet-corner kind of guy.   He is frequently found happily entertaining himself in the puppy pen, wrestling with a toy and enjoying a little peace and quiet. Unfortunately, his sisters rarely respect his personal retreat. They inevitably discover him and attempt to recruit him into their latest tag-team event. Slice will participate for a while, but once the girls start pinning him down and enthusiastically nibbling every fluffy inch of him, he wisely retreats somewhere he can better defend himself.   Sometimes his foster mom rescues him from the sisterly shenanigans and scoops him into her arms. Slice is always visibly grateful and rewards her with a few sweet puppy kisses. He is a tender, thoughtful little boy who enjoys affection but can also entertain himself—a lovely combination for his future family.   7-Up: Full of Fizz, Sass, and Personality   7-Up is the middle puppy, the oldest girl, and the self-appointed director of all household drama. Her foster family has affectionately nicknamed her the “Drama Queen Sass Pot,” and she has worked very hard to earn the title.   She is usually the one who initiates the roughhousing. 7-Up perfected the puppy pounce early: slowly approaching a sibling with her head lowered before springing into action and launching the next wrestling match. She enthusiastically tugs on ears, tails, legs, and fluffy coats—but if one of her siblings turns the tables on her, she is the first to squeal as though she has been deeply and personally wronged.   Her flair for the dramatic extends to her toys. Rope toys are particular favorites, and she whips them from side to side to make absolutely certain they understand who is in charge. Beneath all that fizz and bravado is an irresistibly charming little puppy whose confidence, comedy, and enormous personality will keep her future family thoroughly entertained.   Sierra Mist: The Fluffy Little Fridge   Sierra Mist is the baby of the family and the most uniquely colored of the three. This exceptionally fluffy girl has demonstrated an impressive ability to gain weight faster than her older siblings, earning her the affectionate nicknames “The Refrigerator,” “The Fridge,” and “Fridgey.” Picking her up is a wonderfully satisfying experience: she is soft, substantial, and delightfully puppy-shaped.   Sierra Mist is an ideal combination of sweetness and sass. When she is sufficiently tired, she is happy to settle in for a cozy snuggle session. When she has energy to burn, however, she is ready to initiate wrestling shenanigans with her siblings.   She is also perfecting a special method of transportation: grabbing onto a family member’s slipper with every ounce of her strength and hanging on while they attempt to walk through the house. Whether she believes she is stopping them, helping them, or simply hitching a ride remains unclear, but her technique becomes more impressive—and more comical—every day.   Life With the Soda Pop Trio   Mealtimes are still a work in progress because these puppies frequently forget that eating is important. There are simply too many toys to investigate and siblings to tackle! Their foster mom often places them directly in front of their food until their noses touch it, at which point they suddenly remember that they are absolutely starving.   Drinking water is nearly as entertaining as playing. Front paws regularly land in the water bowl, usually by accident, creating little trails of wet puppy footprints as they hurry back to their next adventure.   Mama Sprite arrived in foster care before anyone realized she was pregnant. Once her foster family discovered that puppies were on the way, they committed themselves fully to caring for her throughout her pregnancy, delivery, and motherhood. Slice, 7-Up, and Sierra Mist have been surrounded by safety and love every day of their lives. Their foster mom has been with them through every milestone, providing Sprite with the support she needed and helping these three tiny fluff balls grow into happy, confident puppies.   Now it is time for each member of this precious trio to begin a new adventure. Whether you prefer Slice’s gentle sweetness, 7-Up’s sparkling sass, or Sierra Mist’s wonderfully fluffy mischief, one of Sprite’s Soda Pop Puppies may be exactly the refreshing addition your family has been waiting for. August 27, 2026, 10:44 am
