He’s playful, affectionate, and full of personality — the kind of dog who can make you laugh one minute and melt into your lap the next. He loves playing with the other foster dog in the home and is always trying to charm the resident girls into giving him attention. He’s also a bit of a mischievous goofball who thinks pillows and blankets are excellent toys and will proudly drag them off the couch for playtime. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and loves being around people. Swift enjoys toys of all kinds and is learning how delicious treats can be. He’s gentle, eager to please, and happiest when he’s included in whatever his humans are doing. Swift is still working on potty training and leash skills, and he’s getting used to his crate — he’s making progress but still figuring out that it’s a safe, cozy place. He’s moderately active, enjoys playtime, and will thrive with regular walks and snuggle breaks. He’s good with dogs and has loved every canine friend he’s met so far. He hasn’t been fully tested with kids or cats yet, but his sweet nature suggests he’ll adapt well with proper introductions. Spice is a beautiful Blenheim-colored Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is about 4 years old. Spice  spent the first 4-ish years of her life as a breeding mama before coming into the rescue in September. She lives in a foster home with another foster dog, 2 resident adult dogs, 3 kids, and 2 adults. Spice is thriving in the home environment, but she still has a long way to go. When Spice first came to us, she was very scared of everything in our home and spent most of her time safely in her crate. However, once she got comfortable, she became queen of the couch. When she is on the couch and sleepy, she will let you pet her. However, any other time, she recoils from petting. She does like sniffing hands and, recently, she has been greeting all guests in our home with a tail wag and a sniff. She loves treats and bones. While she is mostly potty-trained, she still has occasional accidents around the house. She did not walk on a leash for months, but she got too lonely when we were gone, so finally she decided she would walk on a leash only if the person walking her walked behind her. Spice's biggest love in life is other dogs. She wants to be with other dogs and is happiest when part of a pack. She wants to be wherever they are but she does not engage in much play with them. Because of Spice's history, Spice needs to go to a home that has a well-adjusted resident dog who can continue to teach her how to be a dog. History: Talitha is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon! A Note from the Foster: Tally is a gentle soul who's learning that the world can be a safe place—and she's making incredible progress every day. This sweet girl has come so far in foster care. She now confidently leaves her kennel on her own, has mastered her potty schedule (no accidents in weeks!), and even naps on the couch near her foster mom while she works. She'll accept pets from new people she's getting to know, and she's learned to eat her meals with humans nearby. Every small step is a victory for this brave girl. What Tally needs: A patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She's still cautious—she prefers treats placed on the ground rather than hand-fed, and she needs a securely fenced yard since she's still building confidence outdoors. She has only briefly been around other dogs- but she did fine and mostly ignored them. Tally would thrive in a calm, predictable home where she can continue coming out of her shell at her own pace. What Tally offers: A heart full of love, an adorable fluffy face, and a super smart and sweet personality just waiting to fully come out of her shell. Once she feels safe, she'll let you pet her forever and sweetly nod off while she relaxes into you. She's the kind of dog who will reward your patience a hundred times over.
