Story
Meet Claus!
At approximately 3 years old and 25 lbs, Claus is a medium-sized Poodle with one very important mission in life: to make as many friends as possible. Humans? Love them. Visitors? Amazing. Strangers on walks? Future best friends, obviously.
Claus is equal parts sweetheart and lovable goofball. He knows his basic commands and is eager to please, but he approaches life with an enthusiasm that's impossible not to smile at. He's still working on his manners—particularly remembering that not everyone wants a fluffy pair of front paws placed on them as an enthusiastic greeting.
The Ultimate Walking Partner (and Co-Pilot!)
One thing you should know about Claus: this boy is incredibly passionate about his walks and has a high energy level. He may not know the word "walk" yet, but the moment he sees his leash, he transforms into a one-dog circus act. Expect excited spins, happy hops, dramatic play bows, and impressive acrobatics worthy of an Olympic routine. Because of his high energy, he requires frequent walks to keep that big brain and athletic body happy. He loves exploring the neighborhood, sniffing every intriguing scent, and stopping to say hello to anyone willing to admire his curly good looks. And of course, there are the zoomies—those joyful bursts of energy that serve as a reminder that life is meant to be enjoyed!
But the adventure doesn't stop at the sidewalk—Claus absolutely loves car rides! Whether you're heading to the pet store or going on a grand road trip, he is the ultimate, enthusiastic co-pilot, ready to watch the world go by from the passenger seat.
Home Life & Adaptability
Don't let his high-energy walks fool you; Claus is highly adaptable when it comes to his living space. Thanks to his polite indoor habits, he is perfectly suitable for a house, a condo, or an apartment—as long as he gets his routine outdoor exercise, he's happy to curl up anywhere! His tiny nub of a tail may not have much range of motion, but he makes up for it with full-body enthusiasm when you get home.
He can experience some separation anxiety, so he'll do best with a patient family willing to help him continue building confidence and independence. In return, Claus offers unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a constant reminder to celebrate the simple things in life.
The Complete Package
The good news? Claus is already house trained, knows his basic commands, and is eager to learn. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and a family committed to helping him continue polishing his manners and burning off his energy, he'll make an incredible companion.
