But now that they have all set off on their own paths, she’s starting for new, hidden magic: something that will occur when she becomes the center of your world. Alma is a wonderful dog with a steady, loving spirit. As a retired matriarch, she holds her title with pride—she is the resident “babysitter” in every group setting! Cordial with other dogs and a total people magnet, she doesn’t let her small size hold her back. Alma loves to play dress-up and can often be seen sporting scarves, sweaters, and other fun accessories. But don’t think she’s high-maintenance: this queen has no problem embracing the outdoors and recently accompanied her foster dad on a trip to a local state park! Most often, Alma can be found stretched out on her favorite emerald green couch, enjoying her newfound freedom as she watches her favorite TV shows. Who is you? I’m Ranger Roo. 🙂 It’s true, I might be a little ruff around the edges right now. My little curly tail has zero hairs, but I have plenty of swirly whirls on my noggin! I am working on getting my beautiful coat all shiny and new again for you. Sadly, I was given up after my owner crossed the rainbow bridge, so I’ve been learning how to live again… and how to trust. I’m a gentle “Yorkiepoo” who will fit in anywhere, methinks. I never make a peep and will follow you around like the second shadow you always wished for. I like snacks, too, and I’ll eat them right up when you’re not looking!!! Not to mention, I’m four and a half… Maybe more? I have GREAT manners, I know where to do my #1s and #2s, and my absolute favorite thing to do is find big patches of grass to stick my face in. Maybe one day, I will find that rabbit I am looking for. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you! A “Yorkiepoo” is a Yorkshire Terrier and a Poodle all mixed up together. This means I have smarticle particles, a big giant heart, and deep loyalty for my people. I won’t be getting any bigger–I’m the perfect lap dog size! And you’ll have to remember to groom me every so often so I stay looking my very best for Sunday brunch. Ok, that’s everything about me! I hope you decide to adopt me! Talk soon? <3

Brandy Sue is a 2-3 yr old poodle mix weighing 12#. This sweet innocent girl was brought to Bexar County Animal Care late last year with 22 others in an involuntary surrender. Most were amazingly social. Late Feb Brandy was adopted with another dog from the group. They were great buddies who were constantly playing but both also loved their quiet couch time with their humans as well as sleeping in the bed. Brandy made a couple of early potty accidents in the house. In May her human who walked both of them daily took Mandy on the plane to Atlanta for the Summer. She had the bedroom alone while her mom slept with the cat in another room. The family felt that Brandy, now without her mate, that it would be best to return to rescue. She has done super here since the first hour. She has done with housebreaking. She met all the mob, started playing, explored the yard and quickly remembered to kennel up for meals. She quietly sleeps in my room in a kennel and on command goes straight outside. She does enjoy a good squirrel chase and is quite agile. Brandy is not a cat lover. She will do best in a home with an active family without long hours alone and perhaps with another compatible furry friend. Brandy Sue is spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and vaccinated. Kahlua is an 11-month-old mini poodle weighing 16#. This puppy was purchased from a breeder at 8wk old. After 9 months of dealing with puppy energy and antics the owner surrendered her to rescue for “rehabilitation “ Truly all this smart pup needed was training, boundaries and a name change to begin to understand basic commands. She is all about play with her furry friends. Squirrels are a lot of fun also. She will involve herself with chew toys. She easily goes to her kennel for eating and sleeping. Her housebreaking is going well. She will need leash training. Enrolling her in an organized dog training program would be an excellent idea!. She would do best with another furry friend to pal around with. Kahlua is spayed, microchipped vaccinated and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $350. This little girl can be shy but overcoming that she is easy to love Please fill an application found in the site below.
