Every great family needs a foundation, and for us, that is our darling Alma. Arriving at SNIPSA with several little miracles, Alma spent the first few weeks in our program doting over her nursing litter. But now that they have all set off on their own paths, she’s starting for new, hidden magic: something that will occur when she becomes the center of your world. Alma is a wonderful dog with a steady, loving spirit. As a retired matriarch, she holds her title with pride—she is the resident “babysitter” in every group setting! Cordial with other dogs and a total people magnet, she doesn’t let her small size hold her back. Alma loves to play dress-up and can often be seen sporting scarves, sweaters, and other fun accessories. But don’t think she’s high-maintenance: this queen has no problem embracing the outdoors and recently accompanied her foster dad on a trip to a local state park! Most often, Alma can be found stretched out on her favorite emerald green couch, enjoying her newfound freedom as she watches her favorite TV shows. With her confidence, smarts, and charisma, Alma is your true Chihuahua stereotype. She fits in great anywhere, becoming the center of any room. Story
Millie is a 5-year-old dog who will turn 6 in May. She is sweet, friendly, and very loving. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being around people. She is well-behaved and does not require a kennel. I typically allow her to roam freely in my apartment while I’m at work and she does great on her own. I am looking to rehome her due to a change in my job and living situation. I will be moving in with a roommate who is allergic to dogs, and my new job will also require frequent travel, meaning I will not be home as much as she deserves. Millie is happiest when she is around people and has companionship, so I would love to find her a home where she can get plenty of attention, love, and playtime. She is a very affectionate dog and would do best with someone who has more time to spend with her.
