Story
**Brad and Scout: Bonded Brothers**   *King Charles Cavalier-Dachshund-Chihuahua Mix* **Background**   Brad and Scout are a unique pair of 5-year-old mixed-breed dogs, consisting of Cavalier King Charles, Dachshund, and Chihuahua, rescued during a hoarding raid. They are the only two remaining from their previous family and seek a forever home together. It is crucial for their well-being that they stay together, as they have formed a special bond. **What Brad and Scout Need**   Brad and Scout are not just looking for a home; they are searching for best friends. With the right amount of love and patience, you will gain two very loving and devoted companions. They are young and have many years ahead of them to be your loyal friends.  Please note that Brad and Scout require an ADULT-only home to ensure they receive the appropriate care and attention.  Brad is outgoing and loves sleeping with you at night, burying himself under the covers, and falling asleep in your arms or lap. He is very affectionate with the person he bonds with and wants to cuddle and be by their side, wherever they go. On the other hand, Scout is more cautious and shy and will need time to come around independently. He enjoys being talked to and will take treats from your hand. Once he is out of the busy, often chaotic rescue environment and in a warm and loving home, we believe he will begin to open up to his new family.  Brad has a vibrant personality. Although he may be initially shy and reticent, he will start to trust you once he realizes you are a friend. After spending the night with you, he will become your new best friend by morning. Brad loves to follow you everywhere, and Scout will follow him, as he also wishes to feel loved and petted, even if he is too shy to seek it out. **How to Meet and Adopt**   Brad and Scout have been switched to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a specifically tailored, healthy canine feeding plan. We have provided them with the best care possible and will continue to support their new owners with guidance on their diet and nutrition. To adopt Brad and Scout, a special bonded pup adoption fee of $595.00 applies. All funds will cover medical expenses and help rescue more dogs.  Please fill out the online application form using the following link.   Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we can get to know you and make the best match.          www.smallpupsrescue.org June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

**A Tail of Two Boy Puppies** Devon and Matteo are two brothers looking for their forever homes. UPDATE: Matteo has been adopted. Devon (The dark chocolate coat) is available. He does need another dog in the home for mentoring and to have a buddy, as he has always been a part of a dog pack These boys were born at the rescue after their mom was rescued while pregnant. They have already faced a few challenges, including being bottle-fed after their mom ran out of milk early and overcoming Parvo at eight weeks old. Now, the boys are healthy. They eat well and love attention, fresh air, and sunshine. They turn four months old on June 8.  Because they have been handled since birth, both boys are very well socialized and extremely loving. They are shy when meeting new people. Once held, they love to stay close and be wherever their human is. Devon is shorter and has a chocolate-colored coat. He has a very outgoing and excellent personality Devon will do best in a home with at least one person who works from home or is retired. He needs another dog in the home for mentoring and friendship.  These are some of the sweetest puppies we have raised, thanks to all the early handling they received. Hershey (Momma’s brother) was given a DNA test. These pups are quite the mixed-breed mutts. Their dominant breeds seem to be the Poodle and the Dachshund. They also have a super mutt mix of Terrier,/Pug/Maltese/German shepherd/, Miniature Pinscher, and a host of other small percentages of breeds. The brother's dominant look is that of a Poodle-Dachshund mix. If you are interested in adopting Devon and giving him a forever home, please reach out to us for more information or to arrange a visit. Your new best friend could be waiting for you! The adoption fee is $395.00. Devon is being fed Human-Grade dog food. We will share feeding and training tips.  www.smallpupsrescue.org June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Meet Kenzie,  A Cairn Terrier-Poodle mix, and her bonded puppy, Sofie. Kenzie was rescued from an overcrowded kill shelter. Unbeknownst to us, she was pregnant, and a few weeks later, she surprised us with a 3 AM delivery of four puppies Kenzie is a gentle 3-year-old Cairn Terrier mix looking for a loving forever home. She has faced some challenges and now hopes to find someone who will walk with her, cuddle with her, and care for her every day. Sofie is Kenzie’s 4.5-month-old puppy and the smallest of her four surprise pups. She may be shy at first, but she quickly warms up and loves to cuddle when held. Sofie thrives in a gentle, quiet environment where she feels safe and secure. She enjoys being around people who are patient and offer her lots of love and attention. An ideal home for Sofie would be one with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for cuddles and playtime. Whether you're a single person, a couple, or a family, Sofie will fit right in as long as there's a loving corner for her to settle into. Kenzie likes eating human-grade food and relaxing in the sun. She enjoys her toys, playing with Sofie, and exploring together. Here's what a typical day with Kenzie and Sofie might look like: In the morning, Kenzie and Sofie start their day with a refreshing walk around the neighborhood, followed by a tasty breakfast of human-grade food. As the day unfolds, they enjoy some playtime together, engaging with their favorite toys and occasionally napping in a sunny spot. In the afternoon, you might find them happily exploring the backyard or snuggling next to you while you work from home. As evening approaches, Kenzie and Sofie love another walk, followed by more play or a quiet evening cuddled on the sofa. When you’re busy, they keep each other company, and when you’re ready to relax, they’ll happily cuddle on your lap. Kenzie enjoys daily grooming and loves being close to her person. This includes regular brushing to keep her coat tangle-free and occasional baths to maintain her cleanliness. She adapts well, whether you work from home or take her with you. Don’t miss the chance to welcome these sweet girls into your life! Kenzie and Sofie are ready to share their love! **Adopting Kenzie and  Sofie **  To   adopt this mom-daughter pair, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Missy has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee is $550.00 for both Kenzie and Sofie and includes Kenzie's spay, vaccines, rabies, and a microchip.   https://smallpupsrescue.org   June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm
