He's adorable, energetic, and loves fetch, dog parks, and doggie daycare. Needs Training Help With: - Reactivity: Barks at new people (especially tall men/children). Needs slow introductions. - Resource guarding: Guards stolen items. Manageable with training. - High energy: Requires 2-3 daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. Health: Neutered, vaccinated (Feb 2026), microchipped, healthy. Ike is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is adventurous and playful. He’s a typical Cavalier who likes to curl up on your lap. He is very small and skinny but a good eater. He likely won’t be skinny for long. He’s learned how to climb the stairs too. He sleeps quietly in the crate all night long with a foster friend. He’s smart and learns what is Ok and not OK quickly. He uses a pee pad pretty consistently, but also knows what to do outside given the opportunity. Initially he was constantly trying to dominate his foster friend, but as he is feeling more secure he doesn’t display that behavior much anymore. Otherwise he is good with other dogs, OK in a car, and loves everyone he meets. His experience with kids and cats hasn’t been established. He’s an amazingly cute guy and very sweet and cuddly. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
