Story
Quick Facts Name: Lucifer Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: King Charles Spaniel Mix   Color: White & Brown Weight: 6.5kg   My PersonalityHi! I’m Lucifer and yes, I promise my name is ironic because I’m one of the most loving, goofy little guys you’ll ever meet. I have a heart full of joy, and I’m always ready to share it. Whether it’s a familiar face or a brand-new friend, I’ll happily trot over, wag my tail, and nuzzle right into your lap.I love being around people so much that if you’ve been gone and suddenly walk back into the room, I can get very excited wiggles, happy feet, and a little whimper to let you know I missed you. But don’t worry, once we reconnect, I settle right back down. When I’m alone, I’m a quiet and calm boy. No howling, no barking I just rest and wait for my people to come back. I might be adjusting to all this freedom after being rescued from a shelter, so my energy is still high, and I get a little bouncy at times. But really, I just want to love and be loved.   Social SkillsWith People: I’m incredibly affectionate with humans and not shy at all. You can pet me, pick me up, or snuggle me anytime I’m always game for love! I haven’t met many young kids yet, but I’ve been super sweet with everyone so far. With Other Dogs: I’m polite and will say hi to other dogs, especially on walks, but I’m more interested in people than pups. I don’t really try to play with them, and I steer clear if another dog gets grumpy. I’d do well as a solo dog or with a calm, like-minded companion. With Cats: I haven’t had the chance to meet a cat yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react!   On My Walks‍I love walks and get very excited when it’s time to go outside! I do pull on the leash sometimes because I want to explore everything, but I’m a good listener and try my best to follow your lead. I’m still working on pacing myself and could use a little training here and there, but my heart’s in the right place. As for car rides well, I get a little nervous and need to be carried in, but once I’m in a kennel, I’m calm and content. I just like knowing I’m safe.   Life at HomeAt home, I’m full of personality! I’m house-trained and can use both pee pads and go outside whichever works best. I don’t guard food and I’m happy to share. That said, when it’s treat time, I get super excited and tend to gobble things up quickly. With a bit of practice, I know I’ll learn to take treats more gently. One thing to know: because I wasn’t neutered until recently, I’ve had a habit of marking in new spaces. But now that my surgery’s done, that behavior should improve as I adjust to my new lifestyle. I don’t bark just for fun, but if there’s something I really want like attention or a snack I might let out a little bark to make sure you know!   My Ideal HomeI’m looking for a forever home that will embrace my joyful spirit and give me space to shine. I’d love:• A family that enjoys cuddles, playtime, and a bit of silly energy• Someone who understands I’m still decompressing after a tough past and will give me time to adjust• A calm environment where I can continue building confidence and routine• Daily walks or backyard time to help me burn off my energy and stay happy   Special NotesI’m the kind of pup who will greet you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me every single time. I’ve been waiting a long time for a second chance, and I’m so ready to give my heart to someone who’ll love me back. Story
Meet Raposha! Beautiful Raposha has such unique coloring! She has a gorgeous mottled coat and lovely blue eyes. She is around 2 years old and about 40 lbs.  Raposha came to us after being discarded by a backyard breeder. She had been kept outside her whole life so when she came to us she was quite timid and unsure. She has settled into her foster home beautifully and is adjusting well to life as a beloved pet. She loves other dogs and having a dog companion in her new home is a must. This type of social facilitation is very helpful for her. She walks very nicely on a leash and loves going on adventures. She can spook a little bit sometimes when she hears or sees something unfamiliar but she is getting more confident every day. Raposha is good with all people, all dogs and is friendly with cats also.  We would love to see Raposha in a home with a secure fenced yard and with an active family who are wiling to help her continue to learn.  Raposha is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450     We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
