Story
Baltimore is a one-year-old, 55-pound purebred Dead Grass Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Looking at the breed characteristics of the Chessie, they are intelligent and learn at high speed, and even though they’re retrievers, they’re very different from labs and goldens. We want to find a home for him that’s familiar with the breed. Baltimore is a staff favorite in boarding, where they say he loves to play, is great on a leash, and is eager to please. He is not reactive to other dogs but uncomfortable when they approach him. He probably lacks socialization, and they think that in the right environment, he could learn to be around other dogs. ##1874974##

Story
Rebel was adopted from a northeast GA shelter in 2021, but due to family circumstances, a few months ago he found himself living in a crate on the porch. A dog loving school bus driver saw him in the crate every day on her route, so she decided to stop and talk with the family. Thankfully they agreed to surrender him to the bus driver, so she took him and called us. Rebel is 4.5 years old and 50 lbs, and my best guess is that he’s a lab/hound mix. He’s people and dog friendly and good on a leash. He’s fully vetted—neutered, heart worm negative, microchipped, and vaccinated. (rabies, DA2PPVL, and Bordetella).

Story
Meet Kumo, the little Sumo! He is a year-old, 50-pound Labrador Retriever. Like any Labrador puppy, he can be energetic but can be timid and will need a lot of love. He is a sweet, curious, and loving young dog despite being abandoned. His playful personality keeps his caretakers entertained and engaged. He enjoys playing with other dogs and showing his goofy side. Kumo will make a great companion due to his playfulness and willingness to get along with everyone. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations and heartworm negative. He has not been temperament tested with cats and children, so he would need to be tested prior to living in a home with one or both. We are not concerned about his compatibility with cats or children based on his personality. If you are looking for a little sumo, then you need Kumo!

Story
Diamond is a 5-year-old white Lab-Australian Shepherd mix. She is approximately 35lbs...but very compact. She's spayed and was treated for HW on October 9&10. Diamond is extremely timid and submissive until she feels safe with you. She's very sweet and loving. Sadly, she cowers a lot and will roll over on her back in hopes that she's being good. If she's rewarded with a belly scratch session, she'll take it all day long! She prefers to be near her best friend Tookie, preferably napping after a good wrestling match. She stresses when she is not with him. We don't know how she is with cats or young kids. She's fine with older kids and all other humans. She's crate-trained and does well walking on a leash.
