Carl is one big lovable goofball looking for a family who can appreciate all his quirks and charm. With his long legs, soulful eyes, and silly expressions, he’s got that “big puppy energy” in the best way. We suspect there’s a bit of Great Dane in his genes — not just because of his size, but also his gentle demeanor and goofy personality.Carl is sweet as can be and has a heart of gold, but don’t expect him to be in a rush to do things your way. He’s definitely got a stubborn streak — the kind that makes you laugh more than anything else. He might look at you like, “Are you sure we’re doing that?” before eventually deciding it’s a good idea (especially if treats are involved).Despite his size, Carl is incredibly gentle. He plays nicely, loves a good belly rub, and can often be found sprawled out in hilarious positions, legs everywhere, just living his best life. He`s still learning the ropes when it comes to manners, but he’s eager to please (in his own Carl way), and would thrive with someone who can keep training fun and consistent.Carl would do best in a home that has the space — and heart — for a big, playful, slightly clumsy guy who just wants to be loved. He’d enjoy a yard to romp in, maybe a canine sibling to play with, and a person or family who will embrace all the silliness he brings into the room.If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you laughing, snuggle up like he’s a lap dog, and love you with all his goofy heart — Carl might just be your perfect match.Our dog adoption fee is $150 and that includes up-to-date vaccinations and preventatives, spay/neuter, heart worm testing, and their microchip.Meet our adoptable pets Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm or get a head start on adoption by filling out our questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1
