Story
Meet Yukon! Are you in the market for a big doofy goofball? Look no further. Yukon is your guy.Yukon is a four year old lab mix and he's a big dude weighing about 70lbs. He likes to act super aloof and serious at first but he's no match for some good old fashioned lovin'. Once you start scratching him all over and rubbing behind his ears, he melts into a puddle of goo and will be your best friend from that moment forward, no takesies backsies. Yukon is a big baby that doesn't understand a lot of things. Wind is scary. Treats are confusing (hi hello what is he supposed to do with these???) Cats are weird. He had two cats cussing him out and he kind of just stood there like "friend???" so dog-friendly cats only, please. He seems to do fine with other dogs and is pretty indifferent to their comings and goings and is much more interested in, like, anything else. We would prefer older kids (10+) just because we don't know if he's ever been around smaller kids or even knows what they are. He's actually remarkably good on a leash for a young lab of his size and he's very, very smart with a whole laundry list of cues under his belt. He's food-motivated and food is the quickest way to his heart. He's a big ol' ham when it comes to getting attention and will melt right onto the floor so just keep doing what you're doing, please and thank you.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Meet Noir!Noir is a lab mix that originally came to us as a tiny pup all the way from Puerto Rico. He's juuuuuust under a year old (will be turning one in early January!) Unfortunately, his adopters' circumstances changed so he came back to us so we could find him the perfect home 💜 He weighs just over 41lbs and is (mostly) full grown at this point but may continue to fill out.Noir is your typical happy, silly puppy that would fit into pretty much any active home. He loves other dogs and is super playful with them, plus a canine playmate will help him burn off some of that crazy energy that he has! He's also good with cats and did live with them in his previous adopters' home. We would also be comfortable placing him with children because he's such a friendly, happy boy. The only thing we're really looking for is a family that will keep him active because, being a puppy, he's got what feels like endless energy sometimes. He's definitely an extrovert that has no qualms about jumping up on you to say hello as soon as he meets you. He's a well-rounded, well-socialized pup with decent manners and a good foundation for training. He knows his basics (sit, stay, come) and is relatively good on a leash except for when he suddenly gets the zoomies. He's a big ol' attention seeker that's always happy to socialize and hang out with his people.Noir does have some allergies and is prone to dry skin so our vet has recommended keeping fish oil part of his diet and to avoid topical flea/tick prevention and only use oral prevention. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
