Meet Kodak!Kodak is the president of Goofy Ears R Us and he takes his role very, very seriously. Which is good because he takes absolutely nothing else in life seriously.A young lab mix at about nine months old, Kodak is FULL of life and energy. He WILL need training, of course, as he's (literally) a puppy with little to no manners. We're teaching him what we can at the shelter but he's going to need consistency so his training WILL need to be continued in his forever home. He's about 55lbs right now and will probably be around 55-60lbs when full grown.Kodak LOVES other dogs. Like, he is obsessed with them. His enthusiasm knows no bounds so he can be a little much for older dogs that have zero patience for shenanigans or for more introverted dogs that want NO part of his nonsense. But a dog that will match his energy? It will be comedy hour 24/7. We would prefer not placing him with cats because he does not understand angry cat language and he WILL instigate like a teenage boy.He also loves people. He's an extrovert to the extreme. He loves getting attention, loves being involved in whatever it is you're doing, and loves playing with toys. He's definitely got mouthy puppy energy (again, he'll need training) so we would recommend older kids (12+) or an adult only home until he's learned his manners. He DOES have skin allergies so adopters will need to stay on top of monitoring his skin and seeking vet care when necessary. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.

Story
Hello everyone, my name is Rambo and I love life. I have been in a rescue since I was a little fellow. My brother and I were found in a ditch when we were 10 weeks old. I do not remember the ditch or my brother. You see, my brother was adopted last year. Here, while I wait for you, there are other dogs and cats. I am such a gentle fellow, some of the other (big) adult dogs pick on me. For the longest time, I would only go into the play yard with the tiny dogs. One day, one of the human caregivers decided I needed a dog pen to run around in. That was the beginning. Every day, I run from my crate to my dog run in the yard. But before I go in, I sprint all over the yard saying hi. I am nervous around people when I meet them. With patience, time, and feeling safe, I will run up to you to be petted. I am such a happy boy! I am ready to start my journey home. My ideal family is active (hiking, camping, going to the beach), and if you are a runner, I am your fellow runner. Please send a message to alittlelonger2home@gmail.com and request an application. Please complete it completely and include the email addresses of your three references. See you soon. Rambo Male Neutered Breed: Lab/ Boxer mix Color: Black Age: 1 1/2yrs old (as of 04/29/2025) Weight: 65lbs Great with adults, dogs/puppies, cats/ kittens. Children are unknown. Adoption Donation $ 495

Story
Meet Jelly Bean! This precious girl and her sister, Buttons (also up for adoption!) are siblings whose story began with being abandoned in a parking lot in Tennessee. Thankfully, they are now safe in a loving foster home where they're getting the care, guidance, and affection every puppy deserves while they prepare for their forever families. They will be ready to travel the beginning of August.Like any young pups, both are full of curiosity, playfulness, and joyful enthusiasm. They love exploring the world around them, playing with toys, making new friends, and soaking up all the attention they can get. Every day is an adventure, and every experience is an opportunity to learn.Their foster family is helping them build a strong foundation by working on puppy basics each day, but they are still very much babies. Their future families should be ready to continue their training, socialization, and house manners with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. Raising a puppy takes time and commitment, but it is also one of life's most rewarding experiences.Jelly Bean and Buttons are looking for loving homes where they will be cherished as members of the family. They need people who are excited to be their teachers, adventure buddies, and lifelong best friends. In return, they'll offer endless laughter, unconditional love, and the special bond that only a puppy can bring.Name: Jelly BeanBreed: Lab/Mountain Cur   (Breed Mix is not guarantee - no DNA testing has been done)Sex: FemaleAge: 8 weeksWeight: 7.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet beautiful Greta — a devoted mama whose nurturing heart is just as big as her gentle spirit.Greta’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was found wandering the streets of Memphis in December 2025, heavily pregnant and trying her best to survive on her own. When she arrived at the shelter, it was also discovered that she had an issue with her left eye. A veterinary exam revealed an old corneal injury that left her with limited vision on that side. Thankfully, it doesn’t slow her down one bit — she has adjusted wonderfully and navigates life with confidence and grace.Just one week after being rescued, Greta gave birth to seven puppies while still in the shelter. She and her three babies were welcomed into a loving southern foster home, and her babies all found loving homes when they were ready to start their own adventuresShe has continued to shine in her foster home as her mom learned who she was as Greta the dog rather than Greta the Mom. Her puppies are thriving — and now it is time for this young lady (she is still a puppy herself) to go on her own adventure. It’s Greta’s turn to be cared for and cherished.Greta’s favorite place is right beside her people. She absolutely adores being cuddled and will happily follow her foster mom from room to room just to stay close. She loves gentle pets, cozy companionship, toys, and chewing on nylabones. She also enjoys stretching her legs outdoors and taking in the world around her.Greta gets along well with her canine foster siblings and is both house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a loving home. She thrives on affection and would do best with a family who can give her the attention and companionship she craves. Greta LOVES being outside. She is up for walks and hikes but it equally contented just sunbathing in the back yard. While not required, a fenced in yard would absolutely be her happy place. After being independent, Greta doesn't LOVE the leash. She will walk with you, but she can be reactive to other dogs while leashed. This is NOT the case when she does not have the leash on! Story
Lucy is a sweet, soulful older puppy with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit that shines brighter every day. Rescued during a harsh ice storm in Texas alongside her sister Sandy (also for adoption), Now safe and warm in a foster home, she’s learning what it truly means to feel secure—and her affectionate nature is beginning to blossom.Though a bit shy when meeting new people, Lucy warms up quickly and reveals her true self: a cuddly, loving girl who adores pets, hugs, and being close to her people. She’s wonderfully well-mannered for her age—housetrained with a doggie door, comfortable in a crate, and doing great on leash walks with a harness.Lucy gets along beautifully with children over five, other dogs, and even cats, making her a lovely addition to many types of homes. While her sister Sandy tends to take on the “bossy big sister” role, Lucy plays the part of the playful, slightly mischievous younger sibling—full of charm and personality. This precious girl will thrive in a home where she can receive lots of love, and continue with her basic training as she grows into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. With a little patience and a lot of heart, Lucy is sure to become a devoted and cherished member of the family lucky enough to call her their own.Name: Lucy HicksBreed: Labrador Retriever Crossbreed  (Breed Mix is not guarantee - no DNA testing has been done)Sex: FemaleAge: 1 year (Est.
