These two arrived at a shelter in Texas side by side, made the journey all the way to Massachusetts together, and now they have just one more trip to make: home, together 💕 Shasta is the lovely lady of the pair, and Howie is her handsome sidekick. These two absolutely adore each other. They play together, snuggle together, explore together, and are happiest when they're side by side. Shasta and Howie are active, social, friendly, and always ready for a good time. They love people and seem to believe that strangers are simply friends they haven't met yet. Whether they're soaking up attention, playing together, or heading out for an adventure, they bring plenty of happiness wherever they go. They are also serious water lovers! 💦 Swimming, splashing in the pool, chasing the hose—if water is involved, you can count them in! They're looking for a family ready for plenty of playtime, outdoor adventures, and maybe their very own kiddie pool for those hot summer days. After all that fun, these two are just as happy settling in for some quality snuggle time. They're the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, with twice the personality and twice the love to give. Shasta and Howie have stuck together through every chapter of their journey so far. Now they're ready to start the best chapter yet—with a family to call their own. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, small children, adults, and pretty much everyone who crosses his path.   He’s a happy, social, easygoing pup who simply loves being around his people and his friends. Meet Button!Button, aptly named because she was found as a stray at Buttonwood Park, is a 2yo 60lb lab mix. She's shy and SUPER timid with strangers at first (fair - we love an introverted queen), but once she warms up and comes out of her shell? She's like a COMPLETELY different dog.A certified silly goose. An absolute goober. Queen of the Zoomies. She is HILARIOUS to watch and interact with because she's just such an odd creature - obviously, we're saying that with UTMOST affection because her strangeness is so endearing.Button isn't overly affectionate so she won't be a velcro dog but she is a sucker for giving face kisses and she LOVES if you pat her butt like you're playing bongos. She LOVES tennis balls. She's not great at catching them but she's doing her best. She's super food motivated, learns quickly and, once you earn her trust, she's your best friend.She enjoys her walks and does pretty well on a leash for a young lady of her size. She can be a little pully but she listens to corrections well and has a good foundation of cues - sit, come, and wait, mostly. She's like a nosy neighbor at times - if she hears an interesting noise, she HAS to know what's going on whether it involves her or not. Button has shown zero issues with cats - she doesn't even want to make eye contact with the growly ones but has no issues going nose to nose with the nice ones. She hasn't been officially tested with other dogs yet (we'll be doing that in the coming days) but we imagine it will be much the same as with people - timid at first, especially with bouncier "in your face" dogs but otherwise fine.
