Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there, I'm Domino Dancer, your friendly, energetic, new best friend. My foster mom told me to write a little bit about myself so here we go. I am the life of the party. I love people and dogs, wholeheartedly. My foster mom says that I am a lot, and I think she means my energy level. I love running and playing and jumping. I love toys. I am crate trained and generally quiet during my down time. I am potty trained too!  I adore other dogs, but many find my energy off putting. My play style varies between wrestling and playing chase and I can play for hours without getting tired enough to stop. Thankfully my best friend Lily, also available with Ruff Start, gets that and is happy to have marathon play sessions.    I am just an earnest, loving guy with a ton of energy. I am looking for a forever home that will continue working with me and provide me outlets for my energy. I would love to try out agility, or even be your training buddy for a marathon. If you are looking for a handsome side kick, I could be your new bestie.    Here is a link to my YouTube playlist if you want to see in me in action: https://youtu.be/VvaHseuNF1s?si=oYH1v2ZkoU9ep9zF Domino Dancer is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Greetings! My name is Chispita but Pita to my pals. I’m a high energy, fun loving girl with lots of love and snuggles to give!  During the day, you can catch me looking out the window at nature, wresting with my foster brothers (dogs), and chasing the resident cat (probably more than I should). I’m also a big fan of lick mats, puzzles and destroying toys. When it’s time for bed, I sleep with my human but I will reluctantly go into my crate when told to. I can come off a little bit shy but it doesn’t last too long. I also have not met any young children since being in MN, but I’m sure they are great. I mean, just look at what my foster mom dressed me in and I was a perfect girl :)    Thank you for considering me!   Love,  Pita    “Pita is honestly so sweet, super silly and an overall amazing dog! She’s come a long way in rescue and will only continue to thrive with a dedicated family.” - Current Foster Chispita is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hoover is such a cute dog-he looks like a micro mini lab-so fun!  He is also very affectionate-once you are his person he will crawl into your lap and rest his head.  He is very cautious of strangers and barks, but when introduced with treats he quickly becomes your best friend. Hoover loves his walks and slips right into his harness so his walk can begin. He would love to find an active family for hikes and walks! Meal time for Hoover is his absolute favorite! He'll rush to his crate so he can dive into his kibble.   Hoover's ideal home would be a quiet home in a rural settling. Hoover is a good boy-let us know if you are his forever family! Hoover is an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
