Meet Gypsy! She is a new pup on the block here at PCHS. She was transferred to PCHS from another rescue partner. Gypsy is a young lab mix who was given a very rough start to her life. She is one of the many dogs we see with a very sad history. Unfortunately, she lived in an unsafe situation where she was not being cared for. She regularly got into unsafe substances that required medical attention, and she has a bowed front leg that was left to heal on its own after she was hit by a car. Regardless of her previous battles, Gypsy has come out on top! And today, you would never suspect all the things she's been through. She is a very happy and bouncy girl that thrives with attention, loves her toys, and is just excited about life! She has so much love to give and she can't wait to find her own person to love her back.She has done well with dogs in the past and will likely do well with a dog in her adoptive home. It is unknown if she has lived with cats. She seems like she would do well with kids, but she will need some training to learn "four paws on the floor" so she does not knock people over with her enthusiasm. Meet Justin! This big boy was found out on his own and taken to a local impound. No one ever came forward to claim him, so he's now at PCHS and is ready to find his forever home! He's a BIG boy, and would do well with a family who has experience with big dogs. He's around 1.5 years old, and definitely still acts like a youngster! He's fun, energetic, and loves to go out and explore! He appears to be a Lab and possibly German Shepherd mix, and is around 90 pounds. He would do best in a home with kids who are experienced with larger dogs, or older kids, as he doesn't realize his size and may knock little kids down with his exuberance. Diedra is a 13 year half lab half white shepherd. She spends most of her time sleeping but is a great family dog and loves kids. She gets along with most dogs but does not necessarily trust new dogs she has not met before. She is just over 60 pounds. She has some hip dysplasia and arthritis, however is still active and plays fetch. She gets a daily joint supplement. She also has a benign growth (bump) on her left side but is otherwise in good health. She is an easy keeper with just one late daily meal ( 2 cups) of dog food and a periodic bone or dental chew.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sonya came to the shelter from the city pound when her hold was finished and no one had claimed her. She appears to be around a year old and looks like a black lab/pit bull type mix. There could be some other breeds in there, too. She's very loving and full of enthusiasm. She has been vet checked and spayed and her fee is $150. Sonya does know how to sit (most of the time) but will most likely need some basic training. She is a very energetic young dog who will require regular exercise. We do think she would do well with other dogs (males preferably). We have no way of knowing about cats. Kids over 5 would be best as she is very bouncy and needs training. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. He's about a year old and could be a mix of lab, pit bull, and other breeds. He is a nice boy who warms up quickly to new people and loves attention. He has been vet checked, microchipped, and his fee is $150. Webb is a larger dog but he is also gentle and loving. He might need a little bit of basic training. We do think he would do okay with another well mannered dog but don't know if he's ever been near cats. We think he'd be fine with kids.
