Story
Ziegler (Ziggy) is a sweet, curious guy who loves being wherever his people are. True to his Shepherd side, he enjoys keeping you company and will happily follow you from room to room just to be part of the action. He does great free-roaming the house when his fosters are out, but he can also settle nicely in his kennel after about 10 minutes if needed. Ziggy absolutely loves being outside—walks, playtime, and exploring are some of his favorite things. Because of how much he enjoys being outdoors, a fenced yard is a must for him. Ziggy loves other dogs and would be happy to have a canine buddy to play with. However, he cannot live with cats. He would do best with kids 4 and up. Ziggy is a friendly, enthusiastic boy who sometimes forgets how big he is when he gets excited, but his heart is always in the right place. His fosters have started working on training and manners with him, and he’s been doing well! His future family should be ready to keep building on that progress—either continuing training at home or working with a trainer to help him become the best boy he can be. When the day winds down, Ziggy’s favorite place is right next to you (or on you). He’s convinced he’s a 72-lb lap dog and loves nothing more than a good snuggle. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts adventure buddy, playmate, and cuddle companion, Ziggy might be your guy. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Hello there. I’m the sweetest kleptomaniac you will ever meet! I used to be a breeding mama, but now I’m learning how to live in a house. I really like being around my foster humans, and they think I like to show my love by slowly taking the items around them. It could be shoes, your charger, the book you’re reading, garden spade… the list goes on. I don’t really chew on them, but I do like to wander around with my newfound treasures. I’m learning how to walk on a leash and go potty outside. Pretty decent at both, but have the occasional missteps! Stairs are brand new and scary, so I’ll need someone patient to show me how to do things like that. I would do best with another doggy friend to continue to show me how to live the household life too. Overall, I’m a big goofy, sweetheart who will make a loving additional to the right home who will be a little extra patient with me! Apply to adopt me at campcompanion.org. My adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
Toby is a sweet, sensitive boy who loves being close to his people. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he’s a very cuddly dog who enjoys quiet time and gentle affection. He can be a bit anxious and unsure, especially in new situations or with unfamiliar handling, so he’ll need a patient home willing to go at his pace. Toby does best with calm, consistent routines and someone who can help him continue building confidence over time. Because of this, he would do best in a home with older kids who understand dog body language and can provide a predictable, low-stress environment. He may take a little longer to fully settle in, but as his trust grows, so does his affectionate and loving side. With time, understanding, and a little extra patience, Toby has the potential to be a very loyal and devoted companion. Toby does well with other dogs who aren’t overly pushy, and he tends to feel most comfortable with calm, respectful companions. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Meet Lulu! If you’re looking for a calm, couch potato kind of girl… keep scrolling. But if you want a playful, energetic, happy pup who treats life like it’s one big game, Lulu is your girl. Her foster lovingly calls her a “bowling ball” and the other dogs are just the pins. She zooms, she tumbles, she wrestles, she lives for a good romp around the yard. Nothing slows this girl down. She would absolutely thrive in a home with other playful dogs or an active family that’s ready to match her energy. Lulu is potty trained and doing great with crate training, though she’s still a work in progress there. She’s dog friendly, cat friendly, and does well with kids, but she can get a little jumpy and may accidentally knock over tiny humans in her excitement. She’s not trying to be wild, she’s just really, really happy. She’s not a velcro snuggler, but she will happily settle down nearby with a good chew after she’s burned off some energy. She just prefers her love served with a side of playtime. Because Lulu is always on the move and doesn’t always catch social cues right away, slow introductions to resident dogs will set everyone up for success. Lulu is currently fostered in Bayport, MN. If you’re ready for a life full of zoomies, laughter, and a little lovable chaos, Lulu is ready to roll right into your heart. To apply to adopt, visit tailsofhopewi.org. Please note donations using the SPONSOR ME tab on PetFinder will not go to Tails of Hope-WI.
