Penguin was found on 1/14/2026 at Royal Ave & Waite St. He came into the shelter already neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Hello, I`m Kona! I`m about 5 years old and weigh 73 pounds.** I still need to be spayed so when my forever family decides to adopt me I will be placed on hold. Then you can come pick me up after my surgery. **Do you like...Dogs? I`ve lived with other dogs before but can be nervous around some dogs. Please bring any dogs in the home to see if we can get along!Cats? Unknown. Slow introductions and supervised interactions would set me up for success to live with a cat.Kids? I`m a little nervous and would like to start meeting kids old enough to respect my space. 10+Anything else you`d like us to know, Kona? I`m a shy girl who may need some time to warm up to strangers, but I enjoy pets from people I am comfortable with! Some of my favorite activities include going on walks and going swimming!I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
