Story
Goose is the perfect little wingman. Wherever his brothers go, he is right behind them, taking it all in and making sure he does not miss a thing. He may be cautious at first, but he is not intimidated, even big dogs do not faze him. He carries himself with quiet confidence and a steady spirit. Goose loves his people, big and small, and enjoys attention, but he is also wonderfully independent. While his brothers are busy wrestling outside, he is perfectly content grabbing a toy and entertaining himself. He is the kind of pup who can balance affection and adventure with ease. He is a sweet, happy boy, but do not expect him to sit still for endless snuggles, he has important puppy business to attend to. Goose is curious, thoughtful, and full of personality, and he is going to grow into a loyal, well rounded companion. You can apply directly for Goose by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-819 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Ember is about 2 yo., 65 lbs. She has the sweetest personality and is super friendly with the people she knows. She was initially timid when she first came to us but she has completely opened up and is such a joy to be around. Ember gets the most hilarious zoomies and loves to engage with her people. She is neutral and friendly with other dogs and we think once she gets more comfortable would probably enjoy playing with other dogs as well. Ember has zero reaction around our chickens, and was a bit intimidated by our friendly kitty. She could absolutely live with both with proper introductions. Ember has received all the training necessary to succeed in her new home. She walks beautifully on leash, is great in her crate, is potty trained, and has learned basic commands in no time. She has also learned the "place" command. Ember is a fantastic dog with a medium energy level and a solid wonderful temperament. She would be a great dog for most families. Her adoption fee is $450. All of our dogs have been spayed/neutered, are up-to-date on vaccinations, are microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. If you're interested in a meet, you must fill out an application on our website www.wallflowersshine.com/application. We post several videos of our available dogs on our YouTube page https://youtube.com/@thewallflowersshineproject1845?si=1xL4gNyZ1N9ivEOy and have switched from social media to a FREE patreon account https://www.patreon.com/c/WallflowersmeetPackwithPurposeK9?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs.

Story
Pending adoption We have a transport leaving in May 23rd 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Maverick to our trip for the right family 😊 Born on 12/24/23 and weighing in at 58 lbs Maverick is everything people dream of when they picture a Golden Retriever. Wrapped in a stunning deep red coat and carrying the gentlest soul, he is the kind of dog that quietly settles into your heart without even trying. Some dogs bounce through life loud and chaotic… and then there are dogs like Maverick — calm, steady, loving, and deeply connected to the people around him. He truly is an old soul with the softest heart. Maverick’s story began with a man who genuinely loved him very much, but who worked far too many hours to truly give him the companionship and life he deserved. Hoping Maverick would feel less alone during those long days, he later brought Phoenix into the home as a companion for him. He believed she could give Maverick the company he could not always be there to provide, but over time he realized that companionship from another dog could never fully replace the consistency, affection, time, and connection both dogs deserved from their people. His sister later stepped in and brought both dogs into her home so they could be around people more and not simply rely only on one another. Unfortunately, during that time, Phoenix went into heat and became pregnant. Her puppies all found homes prior to them ever contacting us, but this was never something their original owner wanted for either of them. He had been waiting for both dogs to reach full maturity before having them fixed and was trying to do things responsibly on his end. Sadly, that responsibility was not carried through while they were in his sister’s care, and once he realized what had happened, he reached out to us and asked us to bring them in so we could find Maverick and Phoenix the very best home or homes possible. While Maverick and Phoenix came from the same home and absolutely would make a beautiful pair for someone wanting two dogs, we are not requiring them to stay together. Maverick is emotionally healthy, confident, and adaptable enough to absolutely thrive as the center of someone’s world all on his own — and honestly, we think he deserves that kind of devoted love. Maverick is wonderfully house trained and very smart about his routine. He goes outside when asked throughout the day and has settled beautifully into structure here in our home. He is not a loud or demanding dog whatsoever. In fact, he is one of the quieter Goldens we’ve had the pleasure of caring for. He simply wants to be near his people, resting his head in your lap while you rub his ears and remind him he is loved. He has such a soft, steady heart. Maverick is wonderful with other dogs and truly enjoys companionship, but he is also very people-focused and deeply bonds with those caring for him. He has been absolutely wonderful with everyone he has met and would make an incredible family dog for a home with children as well. His calm temperament, loving nature, and gentle demeanor make him the kind of dog that naturally settles into family life beautifully. He sleeps wonderfully in a crate at night, though we truly believe he would happily transition into sleeping beside his person if welcomed there. He is incredibly adaptable and naturally wants to fit into whatever rhythm his family follows. Maverick is doing wonderfully on leash and has quickly embraced outings and new adventures. He’s also learning that car rides lead to exciting things and is becoming more and more comfortable with every trip. He is fantastic during bath time and absolutely adores being pampered, loved on, brushed, and cuddled. He’s the kind of dog that doesn’t need to demand attention to be noticed. His presence alone makes you feel comforted. There is something deeply healing about dogs like Maverick — dogs that simply want to love quietly, loyally, and wholeheartedly. He is ready for a home that will finally give him the time, connection, and devotion he has always deserved. 🩵 His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/maverick It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip and registration, dental exam (teeth are in a great health,) overall health exam (he is a very healthy boy,) and his antibiotic injection given at the time of his neuter to aid in the healing of his neuter. It also covers the months of care, training, and grooming costs since in our care. Maverick is fully vetted, has been thoroughly examined, and medically cleared by our veterinarian for adoption.
