Whatever combination created him, the result is one incredibly lovable young pup with a rich chocolate, curled coat and an even sweeter personality. Moose has a refreshingly easy way about him. He's playful because, well, he's a puppy, but he isn't the nonstop, go-go-go type. He enjoys romping around with his canine friends, loves the water, happily joins in when the fun gets started, and is just as content settling down once playtime is over. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and carries himself with a thoughtful, gentle nature that makes him an easy companion. People are pretty high on Moose's list of favorite things too. He's affectionate without being demanding, happy to soak up attention, and has the kind of calm confidence that allows him to take new experiences in stride. He's simply a nice dog. Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
