Story
Est. DOB: 12/17/2023, male, neutered, chipped, and UTD on vaccinations King Huff is a super smart, lovable pup who loves playing hard as much as he loves snuggling up with you. He loves running around, exploring, playing tug with his foster sister, and chewing on his toys. He knows sit, down, wait, and touch, and he is learning leave it, drop it, and come. He loves walks, but we're still working on leash manners. And if you call his name, he comes running! This little guy didn't have the easiest start in life. At just three months old, he ended up at BARC with a broken leg, which he got when his last owner kicked him. Despite it all, he was a champ throughout his recovery, never letting it get him down. ▶️ Crate-Trained: King settles quickly in his crate, especially if he has his snuggle puppy and a treat or lick mat to occupy him. No issues with accidents as long as he goes outside after meals and every time he comes out of his crate. He sleeps through the night in his crate. He's also crated during the workday but needs a mid-day potty break. ▶️ Treat Motivated: This little guy is eager to please and will do just about anything for a treat. When it's dinner or treat time, he will sit and wait in the kitchen while you get things ready and then go straight into his crate to wait for you to give it to him. ▶️ Dogs/Cats: Charlie is a rambunctious young puppy with lots of energy so he is still learning some of his playtime manners and working on socialization. He did great in play groups during boarding and enjoys playing chase and tug with his bigger foster sister in short, supervised sessions. He has had limited exposure to cats, seeming mostly curious and wanting to sniff and lick. ▶️ People/Kids: He can be apprehensive and vocal around new people. But if you give him a chance to approach on his terms or toss him a treat, he will be your buddy. He hasn't had any exposure to young children. King Huff is in a foster home with other dogs that he does well with. We are looking for a home where no children are under 10 years old.
