Story
Hi I'm Sprocket,I am a special guy and want to be your one and only. I bond strongly with one person so a single person home is ideal. I would love to go on walks , cuddle with you on the couch, and hang at home with you. I prefer to be in a room or crate when company comes over. I am truly a good boy and just need a special home that will love and spoil me. I will dedicate my whole self to you if you open your home to me.April 30, 2024, 5:53 pm

Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue with my "brother", Sid. I was estimated to be about four years old and as is typical of my breed, I am a rambunctious fellow. I am being housed with other small dogs and do just fine. I have not been tested with larger dogs so, would have to have a meet and greet to determine how I would do with bigger dogs. I appear to have normal curiosity towards cats, so would also need to be cat-tested. I use a doggie door to go outside to take care of business.

Story
I am new to Kimie's Kritters and Kimie says that I am a mellow fellow and am as sweet as can be. My story is that my dad worked LOOOONG hours and his kids failed to feed me. My dad was attempting to surrender me to a shelter, but he didn't have an appointment. My rescuer just so happened to be pulling into the parking lot of the shelter as my dad was contemplating leaving me in the parking lot, so she offered to take me. He was grateful to be able to surrender me to her. Since I've been rescued, I have eaten more than I need to and have recently filled out. When around other dogs, I tend to simply avoid them as I am a submissive guy. So far, I appear to be housetrained (I use a doggie door to go outside). I have been around cats and will bark at them through the windows like I'm a tough guy. When I am in the same room as them, it is a different story and I simply ignore them. Because I was deprived of food, I still tend to guard my food, so will have to be fed separately from other dogs. I do not mind if my foster mom takes food away from me, so it is just with other dogs.

Story
Leah, this little cute, sweet older little gal is looking for a new home. She would be a great companion for an older adult(s). Leah loves to go for walks, just be with her person in the yard and most of all cuddle on the couch. Leah is use to the company of other small dogs, large dogs put her on the defense. Leah is a dominant little gal so she doesn't do well with other females, however she is a bit of a flirt & loves the boys. Sadly, she has not adjusted well to her original home after a child entered the family unit. She needs a home with NO toddlers or small children! Children 12yrs and up are an unknown. Leah does show some food guarding when other dogs come near her bowl. She is pretty calm and well behaved. Leah would would do best in a home with 1 or 2 adults. Leah is house trained, leash trained, crate trained + has learned quickly how to use a doggie door. Leah generally is eager to please her "person" and is smart and learns new routines pretty quickly . She's good on car rides and fine at home alone too. Leah is past the playful puppy stage, although sometimes has initial curiosity when a new toy is introduced. She more in the cuddly/lounging/sunbathing stage of life these days.

Story
Lucy is a sweet and adorable girl! She is a 1 year old, 9 pound, tan colored, Chihuahua. She and another dog, we named Ricky were found by a good Samaritan out in the country two months ao. They picked the right person to help them as she has fostered for AFC before! She stepped up for these two and is fostering again. FOSTERING SAVES LIVES! Lucy is looking for her forever home. Her ideal placement is an adult only home. She wants to be the only dog in the home. She needs an owner willing to be patient with her and to socialize her properly. She needs a CALM environment. Her foster mom says she is very timid but very energetic. She is okay with cats. She is mostly house broken but is used to being taken out on a schedule. She will need leash training. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Do you have it in your heart to help a shy pup? With lots of love she should blossom! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
