Story
Meet Dobby! Dobby is an 11½-year-old, 12-lb pup I adopted from the SPCA when he was 1, and he has been a loyal, loving companion ever since. He enjoys daily walks, short hikes, and plenty of cozy couch time. He would absolutely thrive in a quiet, child-free home where he can spend his senior years feeling calm, secure, and relaxed. Over the past few years, we’ve added two toddlers to our family, and although Dobby has never been reactive or dangerous, the constant movement, noise, and unpredictability clearly leave him feeling stressed. Rehoming him is a genuinely difficult decision, but our goal is to give him the comfortable environment he deserves. He is crate trained, affectionate, very food-motivated, and knows several basic commands and a few tricks. We also have a vet visit scheduled soon, so he can go to his new home with a clean bill of health and updated vaccinations. If you’re interested in Dobby or would like more information, please reach out!

Story
Fender was surrendered to KKPR because his parents had to go to assisted living. They had him since he was a puppy. He misses his parents and only home he has ever known of 14 years and came here with severe separation anxieties, which have been improving with time. He has adjusted quite well with our gang. He was close to his father and immediately took to my husband. He loves car rides and walks. Even though he is 14 years old, he is spry and spunky. He was accustomed to going everywhere with his parents and we are hoping to find him a similar home. Although he did not previously sleep with his parents, he does enjoy sleeping in bed with us. Because he is a more mature gentleman, he should go to a home with no children or older children. He has done well with most cats that he has met. Although he is listed as a Boston Terrier, he was the runt and is the size of a Chihuahua. He is potty-trained and uses the doggie door. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Fender, please send me an email to kims35@aol.com and I will send you an application. I can also be reached at 916.397.4686 if you have any questions.

Story
🐾 Meet Mr. Cash 🐾 With the heaviest hearts, we’re looking for a new forever home for our sweet boy, Mr. Cash. We adopted him as a tiny baby and have loved him every single day since. Unfortunately, due to an upcoming move, we can no longer keep him, and it’s breaking our hearts. We just want to make sure he finds a home filled with the same love, kindness, and compassion he’s always known. Mr. Cash is a gentle, affectionate soul who loves to snuggle. He truly is a big baby at heart—soft, sweet, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He gets along well with everyone and has such a kind spirit. He is still young and learning, so there are a couple things to know: • He occasionally has accidents in the house, but he’s improving with routine. • He may dart out of the door if it’s left open, so he needs a family who can keep him safe and be mindful of doors and gates. Other than that, he’s an absolute joy—playful, cuddly, friendly, and full of love.

Story
Meet Chachi – Your Playful, Snuggly Adventure Buddy! Chachi is an adorable 12-pound pup with an estimated birthday of January 2025. We expect she’ll stay small, around 15 pounds when fully grown. While she resembles a Chihuahua, her siblings had fluffier, wirey coats—so her mix is a mystery, but her charm is undeniable. This little girl is full of energy and personality! Chachi loves to run, romp, and wrestle with her foster brother (a French Bulldog) and enjoys zooming around the yard with her toys. She’s learning to walk on a leash and is discovering how much fun neighborhood strolls can be. Chachi would thrive in a highly active home with plenty of space to explore. A big, secure backyard is highly encouraged, as she loves to stretch her legs and play hard before snuggling up close. Her ideal home: Dog-experienced Kids over 12 (or an adult-only home) or dog experienced younger kids A playful dog around her size A large backyard for zoomies and adventures A family willing to continue her training and socialization, as she missed out on that before rescue Chachi tends to form deep bonds quickly, so her new family should be ready to help her connect with everyone in the home — humans and animals alike. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big zest for life and a love for cuddles after a good play session, Chachi might be your perfect match! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Lainey is a darling little chihuahua mix. She was born around 2/2024 and is currently 9 lbs. Lainey is happy, playful, affectionate and medium energy. She has a gentle, submissive, sweet way about her that is very endearing. She can be shy when meeting new people but has shown she will warm up with slow, gentle introductions and treats. Lainey likes playing with her toys and chewing on her chewy bones. She likes to explore in the yard and play chase with her dog buddies. She enjoys being with her people and desires to be a large part of her family’s life. She likely would not do well being left home alone daily for long hours. Lainey enjoys the company of other friendly, respectful dogs who are not overly dominant. She seems to prefer dogs around her size to play and romp around with. She will play with some larger dogs provided they are not overly rough. She does not enjoy rambunctious, wrestling type play but does love to play chase with other dogs. Lainey currently lives with well balanced dogs of all sizes and does well with them. She also lives with dog savvy cats and is respectful with them but she might challenge shy kitties and chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm her so an adult only home is recommended. She really enjoys a yard so no apartments for her. She is crate trained, doing well with house training and learning to walk politely on a leash. Lainey would likely do well with a person who has the time, patience and understanding to help her adjust in a new home. She would enjoy a confident, friendly dog buddy to pal around with, help show her the ropes and keep her company while her humans are away from home. Lainey is a little sweetheart who is a joy to foster and is patiently waiting for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group.
