Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters Pet Rescue with my "brother", Sid. I was estimated to be about four years old and as is typical of my breed, I am a rambunctious fellow. I am being housed with other small dogs and do just fine. I have not been tested with larger dogs so, would have to have a meet and greet to determine how I would do with bigger dogs. I appear to have normal curiosity towards cats, so would also need to be cat-tested. I use a doggie door to go outside to take care of business.

Story
I am new to Kimie's Kritters and Kimie says that I am a mellow fellow and am as sweet as can be. My story is that my dad worked LOOOONG hours and his kids failed to feed me. My dad was attempting to surrender me to a shelter, but he didn't have an appointment. My rescuer just so happened to be pulling into the parking lot of the shelter as my dad was contemplating leaving me in the parking lot, so she offered to take me. He was grateful to be able to surrender me to her. Since I've been rescued, I have eaten more than I need to and have recently filled out. When around other dogs, I tend to simply avoid them as I am a submissive guy. So far, I appear to be housetrained (I use a doggie door to go outside). I have been around cats and will bark at them through the windows like I'm a tough guy. When I am in the same room as them, it is a different story and I simply ignore them. Because I was deprived of food, I still tend to guard my food, so will have to be fed separately from other dogs. I do not mind if my foster mom takes food away from me, so it is just with other dogs.

Story
Ginny and Fizz are darling little chihuahua mix puppies. They were born in early January 2024 and currently weigh 6-7 lbs. They likely will be around 10-12 lbs as adults. They are both playful, spunky and affectionate. They have plenty of puppy energy and love to romp around the house and yard together. They enjoy chewing on bully sticks and playing with balls and toys. They both like to cuddle with their people on the couch in the evening. Ginny is the black female and she is a bit more outgoing and confident than her brother Fizz. Fizz can be somewhat shy/unsure around new people and dogs but he has shown that he will warm up with slow, gentle introductions. Both puppies alert bark and love a yard to play in so no apartments for either of them. Due to their small size an adult only home or a home with dog savvy children over 12 is recommended. They likely would not do well left home alone daily for long hours and prefer someone who is home the majority of the time. They are doing well with house training but will need continued training with that in a new home. Someone who has the time, patience and willingness to continue socializing and training the puppies would be ideal. They currently live in a home with other dogs and do well with similar sized dogs and larger dogs who are well mannered and not overly rough players. They also live with cats and are respectful with them. Ginny and Fizz are both delightful, fun little puppies who are a joy to foster. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Fozzie was adopted from a local shelter back in February, when he was just 6 months old. In July, Fozzie's Mom knew something was wrong and took Fozzie to her vet. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication. The medication has made a world of difference for Fozzie and he's living large and feeling good. But his Mom is having a hard time. To prevent Fozzie from having further seizures, he must get his two medications three times a day. Keeping Fozzie on this schedule has been challenging for his Mom, and she has decided that it's best due to his medical condition that he be rehomed to a person/family who can more easily and more reliably keep him on schedule. Here's what we know about Fozzie: 14 months old 20lbs UTD on vaccinations - good thru February 2024 Neutered Microchipped DNA test revealed the following top five breeds: 39% Chihuahua, 14% dachshund, 11% Min Pin, 8% Poodle, 5% Mini Schnauzer Good with kids, other dogs and dog savvy cats Active boy who enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, tho he is still learning leash manners Knows some basic obedience commands, such as "sit" and "down" Enjoys playing with toys Fozzie is a great companion and loves to cuddle Interested in meeting Fozzie? Story
Leah, this little cute, sweet older little gal is looking for a new home. She would be a great companion for an older adult(s). Leah loves to go for walks, just be with her person in the yard and most of all cuddle on the couch. Leah is use to the company of other small dogs, large dogs put her on the defense. Leah is a dominant little gal so she doesn't do well with other females, however she is a bit of a flirt & loves the boys. Sadly, she has not adjusted well to her original home after a child entered the family unit. She needs a home with NO toddlers or small children! Children 12yrs and up are an unknown. Leah does show some food guarding when other dogs come near her bowl. She is pretty calm and well behaved. Leah would would do best in a home with 1 or 2 adults. Leah is house trained, leash trained, crate trained + has learned quickly how to use a doggie door. Leah generally is eager to please her "person" and is smart and learns new routines pretty quickly . She's good on car rides and fine at home alone too. Leah is past the playful puppy stage, although sometimes has initial curiosity when a new toy is introduced. She more in the cuddly/lounging/sunbathing stage of life these days.
