Story
Fozzie was adopted from a local shelter back in February, when he was just 6 months old. In July, Fozzie's Mom knew something was wrong and took Fozzie to her vet. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication. The medication has made a world of difference for Fozzie and he's living large and feeling good. But his Mom is having a hard time. To prevent Fozzie from having further seizures, he must get his two medications three times a day. Keeping Fozzie on this schedule has been challenging for his Mom, and she has decided that it's best due to his medical condition that he be rehomed to a person/family who can more easily and more reliably keep him on schedule. Here's what we know about Fozzie: 14 months old 20lbs UTD on vaccinations - good thru February 2024 Neutered Microchipped DNA test revealed the following top five breeds: 39% Chihuahua, 14% dachshund, 11% Min Pin, 8% Poodle, 5% Mini Schnauzer Good with kids, other dogs and dog savvy cats Active boy who enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, tho he is still learning leash manners Knows some basic obedience commands, such as "sit" and "down" Enjoys playing with toys Fozzie is a great companion and loves to cuddle Interested in meeting Fozzie? Story
Meet Lil Choco Pie, a canine friend with a heart as sweet as his name. This dog is a bundle of joy and curiosity, always eager to explore new sights and sounds. Despite his shyness, Lil Choco Pie is incredibly friendly, always ready to give a warm greeting to anyone he meets. His playful and goofy nature is infectious, brightening up even the gloomiest of days. His favorite activities include chasing his own tail and playing hide-and-seek. Adopting Lil Choco Pie would mean gaining a loyal companion who would fill your life with laughter, joy, and endless affection. Lil Choco Pie is still learning to share his favorite treats. He also does not always like to be picked up. Because of this, we are requiring that any children in his new home are age 10 or older so they can understand his boundaries. He may do well with other dogs in his new home after a slow introduction. A consult with management will be provided to discuss his individual needs.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies.

Story
Ginny and Fizz are darling little chihuahua mix puppies. We are hoping to find them a home together. They are estimated to be born in early January 2024. They likely will be around 13-15 lbs as adults. They are both playful, spunky and affectionate. They have plenty of puppy energy and love to romp around the house and yard together. They enjoy chewing on bully sticks and playing with balls and toys. They both like to cuddle with their people on the couch in the evening. Ginny is the black female and she is a bit more outgoing and confident than her brother Fizz. Fizz can be somewhat shy/unsure around new people and dogs but he has shown that he will warm up with slow, gentle introductions. Both puppies alert bark and love a yard to play in so no apartments for either of them. Due to their small size an adult only home or a home with dog savvy children over 12 is recommended. They likely would not do well left home alone daily for long hours and prefer someone who is home the majority of the time. They are doing well with house training but will need continued training with that in a new home. Someone who has the time, patience and willingness to continue socializing and training the puppies would be ideal. They currently live in a home with other dogs and do well with similar sized dogs and larger dogs who are well mannered and not overly rough players. They also live with cats and are respectful with them. Ginny and Fizz are both delightful, fun little puppies who are a joy to foster. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Wilbur was originally found in 2018 by a realtor selling an abandoned home that previously belonged to a hoarder. He was found among 30 feral cats. The realtor took Wilbur out to lunch before taking him to the pound. That’s where I met him. I was able to train him how to skateboard and go everywhere in purses. For a college kid he was a great dog. He has never been able to be fully potty trained. Every method has been tried every diaper but he is oddly shaped and his past has prevented him from ever learning. Now that I am no longer in college and I have children I can no longer deal with the pees and poos inside the house. He has cost my family 5,000$ in damages. Rather than put him down we are hoping to rehome him. Wilbur thinks he is big man around the house. He gets along well with small dogs but will square up with any medium to large dog. He is obsessed with babies. He howls at fire trucks. He loves to cuddle and burrow.

Story
Say hello to Pepper! This sweet girl is born to have fun! She can be a bit timid at first, but she warms up fairly quick. Pepper loves to cuddle either on your lap or as close as she can get to it. She plays well with other small dogs, but don't know about larger ones. Loves exploring the fenced yard and only barks at new people when they enter the house but gets comfortable with them quickly. Loves to run - like on zoom mode! She's also great with young kids and would make a great family pet. We are working on potty training, she knows how to use a doggy door, she is getting used to her kennel and is content with the safe space. She's such a sweet young girl! Here's a cute Facebook reel that shows a little of her personality! https://www.facebook.com/reel/1391375621498407 ##1990683##
