Story
Meet Acronym, a sweet girl who is seeking her forever home along with her friend Abbreviation. Her personality is a unique blend of friendliness, cuddliness, and a touch of shyness. Acronym is the kind of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail and climb into your lap, her way of saying `hello, I`m glad you`re here`. She loves to snuggle up close, providing a comforting presence on lazy afternoons or quiet evenings. Despite her shyness, she`s always eager to make new friends. Adopting Acronym means gaining a loyal companion who will fill your days with joy, warmth, and unconditional love. Acronym and Abbreviation rely on each other to feel comfortable and safe, so we are requiring that they find their forever home together. Due to their shy behavior, we are also requiring that any children in their new home are age 10 or older and that their new family is experienced with dog ownership so they can better address their needs. They may do well with other dogs in their new home after a slow introduction.Adoption Price: Fee Waived!

Story
I rescued this little boy from a busy highway. His family was located and unfortunately abandoned him with me explaining that they were not going to come and pick him from me as they decided they didnt want him anymore. Unfortunately I am unable to keep him due to housing rules. This little boy desperately needs a loving home. He is about 2 1/2 yrs he weighs 18lbs. With brown spots on his ears. FYI. I'm not confident in his breed I'm just going off what I've been told by the professionals that have seen him. He's also been labled as a Jack Russell mix.

Story
Chachi is an adorable 12# pup whose estimate birthday is 1/2025. We expect her to be around 15# when full grown. She looks like a chi however her siblings were fluffy/wiry, so we aren't sure what her mix is. She is super sweet and cuddly, loves playing with toys and romping around with her foster brother (french bulldog). She is learning to walk on leash and seems to enjoy going on strolls around the block. Chachi's ideal home would be dog experienced, kids over 12 (or no kids), a dog around her size to buddy up with (or as a single dog if someone is home often) and a yard to play in. She is going to need someone willing to continue her socialization and training which she had not received prior to being rescued. She tends to bond with her person fairly quickly, so her new home will need to manage that initially to be sure she connects with all family members and animals. If you are looking for a little dog who is happiest snuggled up and hanging out beside you, Chachi might be the perfect fit! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Lainey is a sweet, 9 pound Chihuahua mix estimated to be born around 2/2024. She is an agile climber and loves to run. She wants you to know she is the fastest zoomier in town, hands down. She came from a hoarding situation and she and her sisters were very unsocialized, but not aggressive, when they came into rescue. Lainey warmed up quickly to her foster mom and seeks out attention, a lap cuddle and pets. She is still shy when first meeting strangers, but treats go a long way. She is a typical barky chihuahua. She barks when she’s protecting her loved ones from “bad guys”, nervous or excited, so her family has to be okay with that. She enjoys playing with the small breed puppies in her foster home, but can be guardy with food and toys. Shes doing great with potty training with regular reminders. She barks at cats, so it’s better for her to be in a cat-free home. She would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog. Lainey would prefer a family that is home the majority of the day. She needs a secure, zoomie worthy yard. She would do best with children over 10, who are respectful and understand how to be gentle and patient with a shy dog.
