Story
Fozzie was adopted from a local shelter back in February, when he was just 6 months old. In July, Fozzie's Mom knew something was wrong and took Fozzie to her vet. He was diagnosed with epilepsy and was put on medication. The medication has made a world of difference for Fozzie and he's living large and feeling good. But his Mom is having a hard time. To prevent Fozzie from having further seizures, he must get his two medications three times a day. Keeping Fozzie on this schedule has been challenging for his Mom, and she has decided that it's best due to his medical condition that he be rehomed to a person/family who can more easily and more reliably keep him on schedule. Here's what we know about Fozzie: 14 months old 20lbs UTD on vaccinations - good thru February 2024 Neutered Microchipped DNA test revealed the following top five breeds: 39% Chihuahua, 14% dachshund, 11% Min Pin, 8% Poodle, 5% Mini Schnauzer Good with kids, other dogs and dog savvy cats Active boy who enjoys playing fetch and going for walks, tho he is still learning leash manners Knows some basic obedience commands, such as "sit" and "down" Enjoys playing with toys Fozzie is a great companion and loves to cuddle Interested in meeting Fozzie? Story
Ginny and Fizz are darling little chihuahua mix puppies. We are hoping to find them a home together but would consider adopting out separately to the perfect home. They are estimated to be born in early January 2024. They likely will be around 13-15 lbs as adults. Ginny is a darling little chihuahua mix puppy. She was born in early January 2024 and is currently 8 lbs. Ginny is playful and sweet. She can be shy with new people but has shown she will warm up with slow, gentle introductions. She has plenty of puppy energy and loves to romp around the house and yard playing chase and tug with her dog buddies. She likes to play with her toys and chew bully sticks and other chewies. She enjoys shallow water and likes to splash around and lie down in the water. Ginny becomes quite bonded to her people and is cuddly and affectionate. She enjoys couch time in the evenings with her family. She likely would not do well left home alone daily for long hours. Ginny does well with other friendly dogs and prefers dogs who aren’t too large or overly rough players. She currently lives with dog savvy cats and is respectful with them. Young children would likely overwhelm her so only dog experienced, respectful children over 12 are recommended. Ginny loves playing outside in the yard and is an alert barker so no apartments for her. Ginny is doing well with house training and is trained to an exercise pen at night and when nobody is home. Ginny would do best with a family who is home the majority of the time and understands the energy and training needs of a puppy. She would enjoy a yard and a small, young dog companion to play with and keep her company when her humans are away from home. Ginny is a delightful little sweetheart who is a joy to foster. She is patiently waiting for her forever home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
**Adopt Olivia: Your Next Loving Companion** Meet beautiful Olivia, a sweet and spirited one-and-a-half-year-old looking for her forever home. Olivia is microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, and up-to-date on her rabies shots. Despite facing challenges with a broken pelvis, Olivia’s resilience shines through. She was evaluated by UC Davis, where it was suggested to remove one of her legs. However, due to numbness in the other leg, she continues to use both and gets along fantastically. Olivia would make a wonderful lapdog and a great companion for someone who is home most of the time. She enjoys short walks and is a true love bug. She can run and play, though she cannot jump and needs assistance getting up and down from furniture. Olivia has an amazing spirit and a lot of love to give. If you’re interested in giving Olivia the loving home she deserves, please reach out to Coco Precious for Baby Rescue at
