Story
9-year-old female dog looking for a loving forever home. She is great with kids, enjoys cozy beds, and is a wonderful house dog. She does well with other dogs when they are respectful and non-threatening. Her calm, affectionate nature makes her a great companion for seniors or anyone looking for a loyal friend. Reason for Rehoming: She recently had an altercation with another female dog in the home and was injured. She has recovered, but to prevent future incidents and ensure her safety, we are seeking a home where she can live comfortably and peacefully. ❤️ Sweet, gentle, and ready for her next chapter. 🐾

Story
Bentley was adopted from the humane society in April. We do not know what his life was like before the humane society. At the shelter he was abrasive with staff. However, once with us he was sweet and cuddly. Took a few days for him to get used to us. Bentley does not do well with strangers or anyone trying to get into his space. He’s protective over his toys and food, and likes to keep to himself most of the time. Bentley doesn’t like when people move to quick near him , or try to corner him. With his close owners he’s sweet and loving. He is the nicest boy to come home too at the end of the day. Bentley does not like or do well at the vet, and was put on anxiety meds during his last visit.

Story
This is Schooner. He is our 5 year old beagle mix. We have had him since he was pretty young and he has been an amazing dog. Since moving, Schooner seems to be stressed in our home around our young children. He is crate trained, recently vetted and a very sweet, smart and loving dog. We have another dog in the house who he gets along well with, but is very stressed if at the dog park or another dog enters our home so I am unsure how he would do living with another pup. We are in no rush to rehome him as we want to find the perfect fit. He deserves a calm, possibly adult only house to live out his adulthood. It breaks our heart to rehome him but know there is the perfect family out there for him.

Story
Adoptable dog alert, meet Lilly! She's a Chihuahua mix with a tricolor (tan, white, black) coat. She's around 7 years old and 14 lbs. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. About Lilly: - No cats please - Likes ladies, prefers adults - Solo or calm/confident similarly sized dogs - Fenced yard required (harness/leash skills are WIP) Lilly is doing well with house and potty training, she's great with potty pads. She'll follow her canine foster sibling to go potty in the yard. She has limited experience with leashes and harnesses and needs a home with a fenced yard to continue her potty training success. Lilly is a bright and sweet girl, curious about the world and very attentive to her environment. She's very wary of changes to her environment and new people. While on brand for Chihuahuas, she particularly distrusts men and loudly expresses her displeasure if they attempt to approach her. Her awareness makes her an excellent doorbell and neighborhood watch enthusiast. While she takes patience, time, and love to become comfortable in a new home, she's a curious girl and cuddler at heart. Lilly has blossomed in her foster home and is ready for a fur-ever family to call her own! She prefers the ladies and would do best with adults. Her ideal home has patient adopters who are home often, especially if she's going to be an only dog. She can have similarly sized doggie siblings, they need to be confident and respectful. No cats or young kids in her new home, they're too unpredictable for Lilly, lover of routines and consistent schedules. Check out Lilly's full profile on our site and submit an adoption application: https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/lilly Keep in mind the following when you apply: - Adoption radius is 150 miles from Jacksonville, FL, which includes parts of Georgia. - Each dog's adoption donation listed in their profile on our site. - All other pets in the home must be current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.

Story
Adoptable dog alert, meet Tater Tot! He's a tricolored Chihuahua mix. He's 9 years old and about 17 lbs. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly prevention. Tater Tot and sister Sheba are bonded and must be adopted together. About Tater Tot and Sheba: - Bonded pair - Good w/ other small dogs - Good w/dog-savvy cats Their ideal home: - Securely fenced yard - Adults, respectful teens Tater Tot is an inquisitive gentleman with a calm energy about him. Like many Chihuahuas he needs slow introductions to new people and noisy environments. While he can be skittish at first, if you give him space then he'll warm up you to you. Once he's decided that you're his people, he'll happily follow you around. He likes to give surprise water quality inspections. Water coming out of the hose must be sampled, if you've come out of the shower, he'll lick your leg to confirm the indoor water quality. He's a gentleman that way. Tater Tot is a good boy, he's more reserved than Sheba and can be a bit needier. They're typical siblings, they play, they fight, and they hangout. When it comes to food, they must be fed separately as they'll growl and fuss at each other. This may change over time as they're reminded that food isn't a limited commodity and there's plenty to go around. This heart melting duo is ready for their fur-ever home, with plenty of food and love to go around. Tater Tot and Sheba are ready for their fur-ever family and must be adopted together. These inquisitive siblings need a securely fenced yard and supervision while they go out to do their business. They did fine coexisting with a smaller dog and cats in their temp foster home. They gave Byron and the cats space once they realized neither wanted to play with them. They haven't met any kids, it's likely they'd be okay with respectful teens who understand that they'll need space and time to adjust. Story
Goldilocks is a very loving dog very active. She is seven years old. I got her at a pet store in Orange Park Mall. Her birthday is November 17. She will be six years old. My only issue with her is her housebreaking. She doesn't seem to want to be housebroken, even though I've given her ways to get outside to go potty.
