Chapo is a 2-year-old extra-small Chihuahua with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be close to his person. He’s a little unsure of the world at first due to his past, but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly affectionate and will happily lay on you all day, just soaking up love and giving it right back. He thrives in a calm, kind environment and does best with someone patient and gentle, as he doesn’t respond well to yelling or chaos. Despite his sensitive side, Chapo also has a fun, energetic personality he loves to run around, play, and chew on his stuffed animals before settling in for long cuddle sessions. We rescued him about six months ago from a neglectful situation, and he’s made great progress and is now ready for a stable, loving home. With a baby on the way and three other dogs, we can’t give him the one on one attention he truly deserves, and that’s exactly what he needs to fully thrive. Chapo is looking for someone who wants a loyal companion.
